The gist is that Kim Kardash will be co-hosting and ‘special platinum guest’ of R&B singer Darey’s upcoming Valentine concert titled ‘Love Like a Movie’ which takes place next weekend, February 17, 2013 at the Convention Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.

The love like a movie concert will feature Nigerian superstars 2face Idibia, Flavour, Ice Prince, Iyanya, and Darey to deliver what many say will be the valentine concert of the year, and one of the most memorable events in Nigeria’s history. Hila Ben-Baruch of Tel Aviv, Israel legally parked on the street near her apartment and was surprised when her car had been towed and a newly painted handicap sign had appeared. She parked on that street for nearly half a year, and knew that it was a legal spot just hours earlier. After a call to city officials yielded no results, Ben-Baruch found that there were security cameras facing the parking spot with video proving her account: City workers painted a handicapped designation right around her parked car. Father I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus on behalf of Your people. Lord as many still doubt that You can do this very thing, we ask today that You help our unbelief and ask for Your forgiveness.

Lord I ask that You would repair the breach in the hedge and put that fiery hedge around each and everyone of us who has a need. We bind the strong man now by the STRONGER MAN, Jesus Christ and we command every demon, every devil every ruler of darkness, every throne and every power of the air to take their hands off of these families right now. Satan, the Lord rebuke you. You and your cohorts have trespassed here and have no authority. We command you to take your weapons and flee, in Jesus name.

I plead the blood of Jesus over these family, over these prodigals, over these other persons who have come between these spouses. I
plead the blood of Jesus over their minds. I pray the mind of Christ right now over these family. I plead the blood of Jesus over their circumstances, over their home. and all of their finances. I pray for Christian warriors to come to their aid. I stand in the gap right now and yield the sword of the Spirit.

Lord Your anointing is mighty to tearing down the strongholds and breaking the yoke of bondage. I loose the Holy Spirit into these circumstances and I claim victory in Jesus name. 5 Not-So-Obvious Signs He's Avoiding Valentine's Day

I was having coffee with a friend a couple of weeks ago, who mentioned he'd purposely booked a trip out of town to see his grandmother during Valentine's Day because he didn't want the girl he was seeing to think he wanted to celebrate.

I'm not a V-Day kind of gal myself, but flying halfway across the country to avoid a date on a calendar? The lady he was seeing probably had no idea how evasive he was being. Were there other things guys were doing to avoid the Day of Hearts and Roses and Candy, besides mysteriously coming down with the flu? I did some digging from my male friends and turns out, there are.

1. He goes out of his way to spend time with his family that day. As demo'd by the grandma example. While sweet, turns out there may be some ulterior motives lurking. Whomp whomp.

2. He crutches on the "work" excuse more than a week out. "If he's building up talking about a big proposal he's putting together and it's just consuming him, [saying] and he'll be no fun this week or something like that" it's bad news, says the resident Valentine's Day-avoider. How terribly cunning. 3. He totally overplays it. If he's really a jerk, he could talk about so many grand gestures that he's going for the reverse psychology approach--he'll tire you out to the point where you say, "You know what? Let's stay in."

4. He hasn't even laughed about it. Another friend of mine said, "A lot of us will joke about it and downplay what we're going to do." They'll at least acknowledge that the Valentine's Day exists, even if they're not a big fan. Don't take his silence as a sign that he's just being hush-hush, and that he's got something up his sleeve, though; if he's not using humor, he's likely playing an avoidance card. 5. He says he gets depressed around this time of year. It may be true, but if his depression only lasts from February 12 through 15, start making the squinty-eye at him.

Too much TV lowers sperm count ?

A few years ago, it was learned that too much TV might kill sooner. Now, a new study by the Harvard School of Public Health study has said excessive TV-watching could deplete sperm count.
The investigation of the relationship between TV viewing, physical activity and semen quality reveals that men glued to the tube more than 20 hours per week had 44 percent less sperm than those who watched no TV.
Meanwhile, men who log in 15 or more hours of weekly exercise seemed to boost their sperm production to nearly 75 percent higher than those who exercised less than five hours.
More studies show that the quality of sperm, measured in concentration of sperm and sperm count, is declining in Western countries, with drops of up to 38-44 percent in concentration.
Numerous factors from lower levels of physical activity to exposure to environmental chemicals explain the trend.
The scientists analyzed the semen quality of 189 relatively healthy New York men aged 18 to 22, who were asked about how often and how intensely they exercised, as well as the amount of time they spent watching TV, videos or DVDs. The men were all normal weight and height, and the majority did not smoke.
Reporting in the British Journal of Sports Medicine the researchers found that on average, the men spent from five to 14 hours exercising and four to 20 hours a week in front of the TV.
Men who spent 20 or more hours a week in front of the TV had a sperm count that was on average 44 percent lower than that of men who spent less time watching TV. And those who were the most physically active also enjoyed a 73 percent higher sperm count than those who were more sedentary.
Being more active and watching less TV were associated with a higher sperm count and sperm concentration for the young men overall.
The connection between TV viewing and sperm count could be a marker for other factors that distinguish those who spend more time in front of the screen than those who don’t.
For example, the TV watchers are likely to be more sedentary, and therefore have less healthy diets than those who spend less time in front of the TV.
Those who don’t watch hours of television are also more likely to be physically active, and regular exercise has been linked to healthy sperm counts in previous studies.
And then there is the physical explanation for why spending too much time on the couch can lower sperm counts: it’s possible that increased scrotal temperatures from remaining in the sitting position too long can contribute to poorer-quality sperm.
The conclusion is that while lower sperm counts don’t necessarily mean a man is less fertile, staying active may help to keep sperm healthy.

When Laura King and her family got their bill at Sogno di Vino, a small Italian restaurant in Poulsbo, Washington, listed under the subtotal was something they had never seen before: A discount for "Well Behaved Kids."

King was so touched by the restaurant's gesture that she posted a picture of the receipt on her private Facebook page; a friend shared the photo on Reddit with the comment.
"We have not received a discount for our children's behavior prior to this, but we have been complimented on numerous occasions regarding our kids demeanor and behavior," King told Yahoo! Shine on Thursday. The restaurant had also given her children complimentary ice cream.

"As a family of five with kids aged 2, 3 and 8, we know the restaurant staff isn't always terribly excited to have us at one of their larger tables. KANO – A total of 9 female Health workers have been shot to death at two Community health centres in the ancient city of Kano by unknown gunmen in two separate attacks.
Eyewitness account told Vanguard that the first offensive on the polio workers at Filin Kashu, Ungwa-Uku General area left two dead, while 4 others were critically injured.
The account explained that the gunmen in tricycle arrived the Community health centre by 9.00am, opened fire on the defenseless paramedics and subsequently escaped in the ensuing pandemonium.
In another attack recorded at Hotoro Haye, 7 female workers were shot dead at the Community health centre.
Eyewitness say the assailants also came in a tricycle and sprayed bullets at the female workers on duty.
The Kano State Commissioner of Health, Dr Abubakar Labaran Yusuf while confirming the incident explained that “6 were shot at Ungwa-Uku but two died while 4 survived”.
The Police Public Relation Officer, Kano Police Command, ASP, Magaji Musa Majia confirmed that “9 female health workers were shot dead in the separate attacks”
ASP Magaji also disclosed that the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the Murtala Muhammad Hospital in the city”

Bribery Scam: Farouk Lawan, Emenalo Granted Bail-PREMIUM TIMES

An Abuja High Court, Friday, granted bail to the former Chairman of House of Representative Ad Hoc Committee on fuel subsidy payments, Farouk Lawan, and the secretary of the committee, Boniface Emenalo. The two men have been in held in prison for about a week.
They are being prosecuted by the Federal Government for collecting $620, 000 (N93 million) as bribe from business man, Femi Otedola, to remove his company, Zenon Oil, from the list of indicted companies.
The Judge, Mudashiru Oniyangi, granted them bail on the sum of N10 million each and two sureties each in like sum.
He also directed them to submit their international passports with the court registrar, adding that they can only travel outside Nigeria with the permission of the court.
The Judge based his decision to grant bail on the discretionary powers of the court and the inability of the prosecution to file a counter affidavit to the one filed by the accused persons detailing their reasons for asking for bail.
He fixed April 10 and 17 for hearing.

God Has the Ability to Heal And Restore!!

My friends, God will help you, whatever your circumstances, whatever you are going through at this time, believe that God is able to do this. (Matthew 9:28). Believing in God's power is faith. Are you bringing all of your cares and all of your problems to Jesus?

Do you feel confident that He will answer, or do you feel your
requests are impossible, and even God can't help? We serve a God to whom NOTHING is impossible. He is able. Believe it! Start
acknowledging His power.

Praise Him for His love. Yes, He loves you, not except you, He
loves YOU. Put aside negative thoughts that destroy your faith and
keep God's word foremost in your mind.

Hear Him saying, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you."

(Hebrews 13:5).

No prayers are more important than yours - don't let yourself
think otherwise. Pray and communicate with God. That's what prayers are all about - communicating with God.

Prayer is an open line to God, Himself. Don't let self-pity get the
upper hand - fight it. Communicate with God. Pray, "Let us
therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain
mercy and find grace in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16).

Worry is doubt and unbelief. I want you to fight them, don't just
meekly accept them. Remember, "But without faith it is impossible
to please Him; for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6).

God's word tells us the just shall live by faith. Well then,
believe that your prayers are heard BECAUSE THEY ARE! Become strong
in your believing, strong in your thanksgiving, strong in your
expectancy for healing and restoration. Become faithful in praise,
and rejoice in the answers.

If you do this, you will soon be able to say, "Yes Lord, I have done
it. I obeyed Your command. I told all of them that YOU are able."

Controversy trails expulsion of 28 Redeemers University students

The expulsion of 28 students by Redeemer University for allegedly failing drug tests has sparked a big row. The tests were conducted last November for 42 students, who were asked to go for “routine tests”.

After resumption this year, some of them were told that they “tested positive” and last Friday, some of those who “tested positive” got expulsion letters; others got theirs on Monday.

The institution’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, said the decision was taken in line with the school’s values and philosophy “to raise godly children”, but the students are alleging unfairness.

Adeleye said: “A student was caught with an illicit drug. He mentioned others involved and we took them to the school clinic for tests. Some of them tested positive.”

Nigerian S-African-based barber nabbed with N50m cocaine

LAGOS — A Nigerian, based in South Africa, has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA with 6.100kg substance suspected to be cocaine ,at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos

The 45-year-old suspect identified as Ozoh Hycenth Chukwuemeka, was apprehended during the outward clearance of passengers on board Arik Air to South Africa.

Explaining how Ozoh was arrested, the agency’s Airport Commander, Hamza Umar, told Vanguard that the substance was concealed in a false compartment in his luggage.

When a search was conducted at the baggage checking desk at the departure hall, the substance was discovered to be cocaine,which street value was estimated at N50 million.

However, upon interrogation, the suspect, who claimed to have been living in South Africa for 10 years as a barber, admitted that the luggage was his. But he claimed the sustenance was given to him by a friend .

“A friend of mine in South Africa asked me to bring a bag containing chemicals from Nigeria to South Africa for $3,000. When I asked him if it was drug, he said it was just chemicals.

He paid for my return ticket. I never knew it was cocaine. I am only struggling to take care of myself with my barbing business back in South Africa.

Just days after the Lagos state government clamped down on street beggars with some arrests, it has turned its lights on distributors and sellers of pornographic materials.

On Tuesday, four distributors of pornographic materials were arrested at Cele Bus Stop on Oshodi-Apapa Expressway by the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit. Those arrested, Yinka Dada (25) Udoh Nne (29) Sylvester Obodoe (18) and Poopola Bamidele (18) will be arraigned before the Special Offences Court at the taskforce yard and prosecuted for selling obscene materials.

The Lagos state government had earlier banned the selling or distribution of pornographic materials in the state.

PM News reports that the Taskforce Chairman, Bayo Sulaiman, said the arrest was made because there had been complaints by the residents of the resurgence of pornographic materials on the streets of Lagos.

“We got complaints from the residents that pornographic materials were sold in some parts of the state. We had cleared the materials off the streets of Lagos before but the traders are back to business again. We have to arrest the situation again. We are going to charge those arrested to court to serve as deterrent to others,” he was quoted as saying.

Annie herself announced the March 23rd wedding date on her Facebook page, but here's a bit more info about the wedding.

Annie visited Dubai recently to look at venues for the wedding. They've found a place but are keeping that info secret until much later. The couple plan to fly a few friends and family members to Dubai for the grand wedding and 2face has booked several rooms in a few hotels in Dubai for their guests, including Burj Al Arab, the world's most luxurious hotel, where he and Annie will spend some time after their wedding.

GOD Is BIGGER Than Your Circumstances
While you face this situation in your marriage, I want to encourage you and to tell you that God is BIGGER than this situation in your

My friends, the first thing you must realize is that adversity comes to everyone at some point in life. No one is immune from the storms of life. At the end of the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 7, Jesus makes the analogy of the wise and foolish man.
The wise man is the one who built his house upon the rock of hearing and acting upon God's Word. The foolish man built his house on the sand, only hearing and not doing. But the interesting thing to me is that the flood came to both houses.

Sure, we all know who won Super Bowl XLVII. But what you may not know are the answers to some of the questions that cropped up as we watched the Baltimore Ravens defeat the San Francisco 49ers. Fear not, friends, because unlike the Superdome lights, we've been working all game, and long afterward, to bring you the answers to these, your 2013 Super Bowl Mysteries.

Conspiracy!1. Did Beyonce flash the Illuminati sign during her halftime performance?According to legend, the Illuminati are a tiny, super-secret cabal of influential individuals who have shaped the course of world events. So it makes perfect sense that Beyonce would flash their triangle sign to one of the largest viewing audiences in human history. What better way to preserve a secret? That's a definite possibility. Also a possibility? That she was showing some love to her husband Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records, which uses the diamond as its symbol. (Here's a bunch of celebs doing the same thing.) But then again, maybe Roc-A-Fella is in on it too. It's all connected!

2. What caused the power outage in the second half? In one of the strangest twists in Super Bowl history, the power to half the lights at the Superdome went out and remained out for more than a half hour. Shortly after the game, Entergy, the local power company, and SMG, the management company of the Mercedes Superdome, released the following statement:

"Shortly after the beginning of the second half of the Super Bowl in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, a piece of equipment that is designed to monitor electrical load sensed an abnormality in the system. Once the issue was detected, the sensing equipment operated as designed and opened a breaker, causing power to be partially cut to the Superdome in order to isolate the issue. Backup generators kicked in immediately as designed. Entergy and SMG subsequently coordinated start up procedures, ensuring that full power was safely restored to the Superdome. The fault-sensing equipment activated where the Superdome equipment intersects with Entergy’s feed into the facility. There were no additional issues detected."
