Hello everyone. I am currently in a relationship and have been for almost 5 years now. The thing is we have drifted apart from one another and I don't know how we can get back what we had. I feel as if we both have different outlooks on how we want our relationship. For example, I like to sometimes cuddle in each others arms on the couch and watch our favorite movie toghether but he doesn't cuddle. He says he just feels smothered. I have known my partner for 15 years. I love my partner very much but I feel like I have fallen out of love with my partner. If that makes any sense? I feel like I have grown to love him but it's almost like we have different expectations in what we want out of this relationship. We currently seem to fight over the littlest things and our kids have become an issue with our relationship as well. I feel as if my partner doesn't understand me anymore or as if he does't try with our relationship. I am a very bonding person and like to have close contact with him but he is the opposite. I don't even know if we are right for each other anymore. What can I do?

[Relationship-Talk] Just Miserable

 

I am just miserable about getting married back on my birthday earlier this year. I am tired of playing nurse maid ( he has many numerous health issues) to a man who would have sex with anything that walks if he could. I feel like he takes me for granted. He had what I call an emotional affair last year and I have never fully forgiven him for it. Well let me rephrase...I have forgiven him but I just can't forget it no matter how hard I have tried.  I think it would have been much easier to deal with if he had just been honest from the get go but of course that would have been too easy.  Thank you for letting me stay anonymous. I am just so sad right now. I think if it wasn't for his health I would have left a long time ago...I feel guilted into staying with him because of his health.
