Jean Smart Teases She Drives a Bulldozer in Hacks Season 3

If you ever need help clearing a bunch of rubble, give Jean Smart a call. 

The star of HBO Max’s Hacks, which is currently in production on its third season, revealed that she’s been tasked with learning some very specific new skills for the upcoming episodes.

“We’re having a blast,” she told The Rundown’s Erin Lim Rhodes at the Babylon premiere Dec. 15. “I had to learn how to drive a bulldozer the other day.”

We can’t say we’ve ever taken time to think about Deborah Vance on a bulldozer, but now we’ve never needed to see anything more. 

Jean also teased that we can look forward to her new hunky co-star giving her a lift.

“I had to get bench-pressed by Luke Macfarlane, a very handsome young actor,” Jean said, “which was kind of embarrassing.”

Sounds like a pretty solid day at the office!

Jean revealed that season three of Hacks, which has earned her two consecutive Emmys, began production on Nov. 28. Wearing a shirt reading “The Bitch Is Back,” Jean posted a photo on Instagram captioned: “Back to work, first day of shooting season 3. Yay!”

The Sister Wives star took to her social media in November with multiple messages that gave insight on what she was up to just one month before confirming she and Kody had called it quits on their 32-year polygamous relationship. The couple revealed their breakup in a Dec. 15 preview for the upcoming Sister Wives: One on One special.

The 51-year-old—who shares 27-year-old Leon with Kody—appeared to have had positive thoughts for what was to come on before the teaser aired. As she put it in a Nov. 9 Instagram post, “The future is bright and holds the promise of hope, the fulfillment of dreams, the excitement of creation!”

And at the time, Meri not only nodded towards the future, but also looked back on her journey in life.

“I am at peace with me, with my past, with the experiences that have shaped who I am,” she continued, without mentioning Kody. “I am exhilarated for what is coming in my future, for the things I’m creating, for the impact I can have on the world around me.”

As luck would have it, Gabby is about to have the chance to spend more time with Vinny. The Bachelorette alum is hosting Dancing With the Stars Live 2023—which kicks off in National Harbor, Md. on Jan 6, 2023—and Vinny will be along on the road for select dates.

“I’m excited to see him again,” Gabby said. “Maybe he can buy me a drink! I don’t know, something.”

When asked point blank if that means the dating door is open, Gabby joked, “Yeah. The dating door is open for anybody. Vinny is just the most vocal!”

While Gabby and Vinny didn’t actually meet until their time on Dancing With the Stars, her Vinny fandom actually extends back years. 

“I feel like grew up on Jersey Shore,” Gabby revealed. “I moved to L.A. a couple summers ago and I saw Snooki at a bar and that was the first time that I actually fangirled. Jersey Shore has such a place in my heart.”

Gabby even theorized that a potential relationship with Vinny could bring her closer to going from fangirl-to-friend with Snooki (a.k.a. Nicole Polizzi) herself.

Henry Cavill’s Superman Cameo Reportedly Cut From ‘The Flash’

Fans of Henry Cavill‘s Superman are facing more grim news … because a supposed cameo featuring the Man of Steel in DC’s upcoming film has reportedly been cut.

Henry apparently shot a scene as his titular character for Ezra Miller‘s “The Flash,” which is set to debut in June 2023 … but according to The Hollywood Reporter, sources say it’s been scrapped. This, of course, on the heels of the actor’s tough announcement that he’d no longer play Superman.

Gal Gadot also was supposed to make a secret appearance in the flick according to THR, but her cameo was cut too … meaning she could be facing a similar fate in the wake of James Gunn reorganizing the DC universe.

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea exclusively told E! News at the Dec. 15 premiere of his new film Babylon that he and fashion designer wife Melody Ehsani welcomed their first child together on Dec. 12. As for how the rock star is feeling about his family’s latest edition, he told The Rundown‘s Erin Lim Rhodes, “I’m very happy.”

“I haven’t been doing a lot of sleeping,” the 60-year-old joked, “but I’ve been doing a lot of floating on a cloud of love.” Now a father-of-three, Flea also shares daughter Clara Balzary, 34, with ex-wife Loesha Zeviar, as well as daughter Sunny Bebop Balzary, 17, with ex Frankie Rayder.

At the Babylon premiere, Flea chatted about making the Damien Chazelle-directed movie—in which he plays Bob Levine—including a “wild” party scene that took 12 days to shoot.

“It was wild to just be in a room like that for a long period of time with a lot of naked people,” he shared. “It was assistant directors and Damien just going crazy and naked people everywhere. They really let a bacchanal happen and captured it on film, so it was cool to see.”

Kelsey’s Police Interview Played, She Saw Tory Lanez Shooting at Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion‘s ex-friend Kelsey Harris says she absolutely saw Tory Lanez firing a gun at Meg — that’s what she told police back in September, and today the jury heard that whole exchange.

As you know, Kelsey has been hesitant, to say the least, to give up many details while testifying this week, but on Friday prosecutors played audio of the entire interview she did with cops earlier this year … when she spilled every detail from that July 2020 night.

Kelsey says while they were in the SUV — after the party at Kylie Jenner‘s house — she and Tory first got into an argument when he made fun of Megan. When Kelsey came to her friend’s defense, she claims Tory said, “My n****, I’m gonna shoot you.” Kelsey says Tory reached toward the center console, but didn’t do anything more than that.

However, the vehicle was pulled over at that point. Then she says Meg and Tory started insulting each other’s careers, and things got so heated, both Meg and Kelsey got out of the SUV.

Almost immediately Kelsey says she started hearing gunshots, and after the 2nd or 3rd shot she turned around and says she saw Tory in the front seat firing the gun forward, over the open right front door in Meg’s direction.

Kelsey was outside of the vehicle, but behind Tory and could only see Meg from the chest up. She ran toward Megan “in defense mode,” and saw her bleeding … and Tory was still sitting in the front seat, apparently in shock.

She claims Tory walked toward them, and that’s when Kelsey and Tory started fighting. She describes it as Tory assaulting her, and adds she did not see a gun at that point.

Once they all got back in the SUV, Kelsey says she texted Megan’s security, “911. Tory shot Meg.”

Once the police arrived, Kelsey claims Tory told them not to say anything to officers because he was about to sign a big deal, and he offered both women $1 million each.

That’s all that’s been played of Kelsey’s interview so far, but there’s more to come after the lunch break.

Obviously, the audio reveals just about everything Kelsey skirted talking about on the stand — with a lot of I don’t recalls — but her memory sounded pretty solid a few months ago.

Coco Austin is washing the drama right out of Chanel‘s hair.

The TV personality shared a snap of 6-year-old daughter Chanel, who she shares with husband Ice-T, sitting in a spacious bathtub while three bulldogs stand next to the tub posing with the little one.

Coco paired the Dec. 15 Instagram post with the caption, “Bathtime… lol I always joke and say I don’t have 1 kid I have 4.”

It’s certainly a much bigger tub than the last time Coco made headlines for giving Chanel a bath—in the kitchen sink! Coco sparked controversy in September when she posted a video explaining that she and Chanel were getting ready for a fashion show with limited time. The 43-year-old wrote next to the clip at the time, “The sink is easiest when you have to be fast.”

But despite giving the reason for Chanel’s bathing location, the post sparked some heated responses in the comment section. Coco later addressed the chatter by defending her parenting choice on Twitter.

Elon Musk is hitting journalists who make a living reporting on the billionaire where he can … silencing their Twitter accounts.

The new owner of the bird app is suspending Twitter accounts for reporters from major news outlets like The New York Times, Washington Post and CNN … plus independent journos and folks who report for Mashable and The Intercept.

Among those losing their ability to tweet about Elon … Donie O’Sullivan from CNN, Drew Harwell from WaPo, Matt Binder from Mashable, Ryan Mac from NYT, Micah Lee from The Intercept, plus Keith Olbermann and Aaron Rupar.

Lots of folks getting the boot have been writing and tweeting critically about Elon … but the fact is Musk owns Twitter so he can do what he wants with his private company.

Of course, Elon’s claimed he’s a champion of free speech … and some folks say that’s just not jiving with suspensions for reporters.

Here’s what some of those banned reporters are seeing when they try to log in to their Twitter accounts … a message telling them their account is permanently suspended for violating Twitter rules.

Elon’s been changing Twitter terms of service on the fly … and it’s unclear what rules the journalists supposedly violated to earn a suspension.

Will That ’90s Show have the same theme song as That ’70s Show?

That ’70s Show used Big Star‘s “In the Street”—recorded as “That ’70s Song” by Cheap Trick after season one—as the show’s theme song. For That ’90s Show, showrunner Gregg Mettler knew they needed something more, well, ’90s!

So, according to Variety, he recorded a ’90s-tinged demo version of “In the Street” with his daughter on backing vocals. He gave that to Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, who served as the composer on That ‘90s Show, who worked some magic. And thus, a new theme song was created.

“I love all the music from the 90s, all the genres, and we try our best to weave them all into the show,” Mettler said. “And so, there’s something for everybody inside the show.”

Who from That ’70s Show will appear on That ’90s Show?

We saved the best for last.

In May, Netflix announced that That ’90s Show will feature cameos from Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

While specific details about their involvement—including when they’ll show up—remain top-secret, Kunis let a little tidbit slip 

“My husband and I are together in it, which is weird because we shouldn’t have been,” she told Access Hollywood in October. “My character would be with Fez. Also, Kelso was married at the end of That’s ’70s Show. Now we are married with a kid [on the show]. It is very cute.”

They may be off the air at the moment, but Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are still spending time together.

Amid their hiatus from GMA3: What You Need to Know, the co-anchors—who have been off the air since Dec. 5 and are facing an internal investigation regarding their rumored romance—stepped out for a bite to eat at The Capital Grille in New York City. As seen in pictures published by The Daily Mail on Dec. 15, the pair walked arm-in-arm during a stroll around the Financial District before sitting down at the restaurant’s bar for lunch.

The Daily Mail did not specifically say when the Robach and Holmes sighting took place, but noted that it was “the first time since they were taken off the air.”

For their day out, Robach wore a blush pink jacket over a gray tee, white hoodie and blue jeans. She paired her look with brown heeled boots and gold necklaces. Meanwhile, Holmes bundled up in a checkered coat and black scarf atop of his hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Neither were pictured in the snaps with jewelry on their wedding ring fingers.

Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss Wasn’t In Financial Ruin Prior To Suicide, Despite Theory

There’s an online theory circulating that claims Stephen “tWitch” Boss and his family were in bad shape financially at the time of his suicide … something we’re told simply isn’t true.

People playing detective on social media are working to figure out what may have led tWitch to take his own life. One popular theory — based on some of the accounts he followed on Instagram — was that he had invested heavily and lost big in cryptocurrency.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us that is false — Stephen was not experiencing any sort of financial hardship in the time leading up to his suicide. What’s more — our law enforcement sources say no one from the family has mentioned any sort of financial issues with Stephen.

As for the social media chatter, a video posted by actor Columbus Short also helped to fuel the fire — where the actor shared his own theory that tWtich may have had money issues.

Our sources say Stephen knew Columbus through the dance world — and their personal interactions were always directly associated with working environments.

TMZ broke the story — tWitch’s wife, Allison Holker, told cops Tuesday she became worried about her husband when he left their home without warning a day earlier and wasn’t answering his phone.

As we first told you, tWitch had checked into a motel less than a mile from his home Monday carrying a small bag. Hotel employees checked in on his room Tuesday after he missed checkout and discovered him dead in the bathroom from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

This The Santa Clauses Season 2 News Will Make You Merry

Bust out the eggnog, because The Santa Clauses is getting more episodes.

Disney+ confirmed Dec. 14 that a second season of the sequel series is in the works with Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell already set to reprise their respective roles of Santa Claus/Scott Calvin and Mrs. Claus/Carol Calvin. The comedy, which follows the events of the original three The Santa Clause films, follows Scott as he grapples with the idea of retirement.

However, Scott’s retirement plan didn’t work out as his successor Simon Choksi (Kal Penn) became disillusioned by the job, resulting in Scott picking up the sack and becoming Santa Claus once more.

“This franchise has had a lasting impact for so many families, truly becoming part of their annual holiday traditions,” Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, said in a statement. “Bringing it back as a series has been a true gift, and I’m grateful to our producing partners at 20th Television and, of course, Tim Allen and team, that we have yet another reason to celebrate this holiday season.”

The update on their relationship status follows a Dec. 12 memo, obtained by E!, sent to staffers from ABC News president Kim Godwin.

“I understand that the continuing coverage can be distracting from the incredibly important work our team does here,” Godwin wrote in the note, adding that the network plans to have a “rotation of anchors at GMA3 for the time being.”

She added, “It is my hope that we will continue to focus our energy on what we do best, and I want all of you to know how immensely proud I am of your hard work and professionalism.”

On Dec. 14, HBO Max revealed that The Sex Lives Of College Girls—which wraps up its second season with two episodes on Dec. 15—has been renewed for season three.

The second season of Sex Lives, created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, picked up after fall break at New England’s Essex College with four college roommates—Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet), Bela (Amrit Kaur), Leighton (Reneé Rapp) and Whitney (Alyah Chanelle Scott)—attempting to tackle “the challenges thrown their way at the end of season one,” according to the streamer, “and facing their next semester filled with new faces, parties and predicaments.”

Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, who plays Kimberly’s scene stealing co-worker Lila on the show, celebrated the renewal news on Dec. 14, tweeting: “We’re back you hoes!!”

The renewal announcement is welcome news for the legions of Sex Lives fans—and it comes at a time of tumult at its streaming home. In recent days, HBO and HBO Max have canceled Los Espookys, Love Life, The Nevers, Minx, Legendary and FBoy Island.

Justin Timberlake Reflects on tWitch’s “Heartbreaking” Death

Justin Timberlake is mourning the loss of a dear friend.

The “Cry Me a River” singer paid tribute to Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who sadly died by suicide age 40, E! News confirmed on Dec. 14.

“It’s heartbreaking to hear that someone who brought so much joy to a room, was hurting so much behind closed doors,” Justin wrote on Twitter on Dec. 14. “I’ve known Twitch for over 20 years through the dance community—he always lit everything up. You just never know what someone is really going through.”

In a second tweet, the “SexyBack” singer shared two photos of tWitch doing what he loved—dancing. The first photo is of the Ellen DJ lifting a woman over his head on the set of the talk show. The second is a solo snap of the So You Think You Can Dance alum with him balancing on the tips of his toes.

Despite moving on to the World Cup final, not all things went smoothly for Kylian Mbappe on Wednesday — the France superstar accidentally drilled a fan in the face with a warm-up shot … and issued an apology immediately afterward.

The incident happened just before France took down Morocco in one of the tournament’s semifinal games … as the 23-year-old phenom was trying to get loose for the important tilt.

Pictures from the stadium in Qatar showed the guy was in a considerable amount of pain … but, to Mbappe’s credit, he ran over to make sure the dude was OK.

He grabbed the man’s arm, and appeared to say he was sorry — before bolting back to warm-ups.

Of course, we’re sure the fan was feeling a whole lot better just minutes later — ’cause France opened the game against Morocco with a goal in the first 300 seconds of the match.

France went on to win 2-0 — and will now face Argentina in Sunday’s finale.

Cher Recalls Mom Georgia Holt’s Final Moments Before Death

Cher is looking back on her mom’s departure.

The “After All” singer, who announced Dec. 10 her mother Georgia Holt had died at age 96, remembered her mom’s last minutes before passing away.

“The truth…. She’s been Sick & rallying,” Cher wrote in a Dec. 13 tweet. “She then got bad, She was in so much pain. Finally she coded on way to Hosp.”

The 76-year-old continued by giving a nod to the legacy Georgia left behind, writing, “By time we Got to Hosp….The Woman who Who Was MY KICK ASS MOM was No long Here.”

Over the weekend, Cher broke the news in a tweet that read, “Mom is gone” and that same day, a rep for Cher also confirmed Georgia’s passing to E! News. A cause of death has not been revealed.

Cher previously gave details about a health scare that Georgia, born Jackie Jean Crouch, recently faced, tweeting in September, “Sorry I’ve Been Mia. Mom’s Been Sick Off & On. She Just Got Out Of Hosp. She Had Pneumonia. She’s Getting Better.”

The Top Gear host was hospitalized this week after being hurt in an “accident” at the show’s test track in England‘s Dunsfold Park Aerodrome, a spokesperson for the BBC told E! Crew medics attended Flintoff on the scene immediately, per the spokesperson, who added, “He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course.”

It appears Flintoff’s accident did not occur at high speed, according to BBC News, which reported that his injuries are not projected to be fatal.

Flintoff, a former cricket player for England, suffered a previous accident in September 2019 while filming the show, per the outlet. At the time, Flintoff was filming a drag race while driving a three-wheeled motorized vehicle. He ran the vehicle off the highway, though he was able to come away from the incident unharmed.

Las Vegas Woman Allegedly Hid Rolex Watch In Genitals After Stealing It

A Las Vegas woman found herself in a sticky situation with cops after she allegedly stole a super expensive watch and hid it in her genitals.

Police were called to the Aria hotel Sunday in Las Vegas, according to 8 News Now … after a man claimed he was cuddling 33-year-old Sarah Richards, and she continually insisted he take his Rolex off while they laid together.

The alleged victim told cops he put the watch under his pillow and continued to drink wine at Richards’ request — but he says when he noticed it missing, she “went into a panic” and left. He says he followed her all the way down to the lobby where he alerted security — before PD arrived.

According to the reports, police couldn’t find the Rolex at first, but eventually located it in her genitals. She’s now looking at grand larceny charges.

Cops are saying Richards had a preliminary hearing in town Monday … in a case where she’s facing residential theft and burglary charges for allegedly taking someone’s watch back in June. The person in that case apparently told police he thought he was drugged at a hotel.

Ya know, there are more convenient ways to wear a watch … just sayin’.

The Fates of Sanditon, Warrior Nun & More Revealed

Holiday season? More like cancelation season.

With 2022 coming to an end, networks and streamers are making difficult calls regarding their TV lineups. And so, we’re sad to report that some of our TV favorites will not return for new episodes in the New Year.

For starters, HBO and HBO Max have collectively scrapped Love Life, The Nevers, Minx, Legendary, Los Espookys and Fboy Island eight months after its parent company WarnerMedia merged with Discovery Inc. Fans have since expressed their frustration with this cancelation streak, with one user writing on Twitter, “Not only is it cruel for HBO Max to cancel these quality shows with solid fanbases, it’s straight up disrespectful to ALSO remove them from the platform. Art deserves to exist, to be seen, and, for TV shows, to have a home where people can revisit something that brings them joy.”

Starz has also shaken up its scheduling, as the network canceled both Step Up and Dangerous Liaisons this week.

Fans of PBS Masterpiece’s Sanditon should also brace themselves for a goodbye, since the planned third season will now be the period piece’s last installment. Netflix‘s Warrior Nun also faced an untimely end, with the series being chopped by the streamer just a month after its season two premiere.

Captain Lee Rosbach‘s time aboard the St. David is ending early

The beloved Below Deck star shocked his crew on the Bravo series’ Dec. 12 episode by announcing he’s leaving the mega yacht mid-season. Captain Lee’s tough decision came amid an ongoing nerve problem affecting his ability to walk.

“My injury is getting worse,” he shared in a confessional. “The left side of my body, I don’t feel anything. I expected a lot more progress than I’m experiencing and the most frustrating part about it is I can’t do a goddamn thing about it. It’s hard.”

The health issue forced Lee to use crutches to get around the boat, which also affected his ability to do his job.

“One of my biggest problems now is I’m not able to observe,” he explained. “I don’t know who’s doing what, it’s my job.”

“I owe it to my crew to do right by them,” he continued. “They expect that out of me. There comes a point if a captain is really being objective, he should be putting the best interests of his crew first.”

Mark Curry Racial Profiling Incident, Hotel Employees Suspended

The hotel staffers Mark Curry accused of racial profiling have been suspended from their jobs … TMZ has learned.

As we reported, Mark claimed he was accosted by two employees over the weekend at The Mining Exchange hotel in downtown Colorado Springs … and he posted video showing two staffers following him around.

Mark claims he left his room to go down to the lobby for some coffee when he was approached and asked if he was a hotel guest … and in his video, he wonders out loud why other guests in the lobby aren’t being asked the same questions.

A rep for The Mining Exchange tells TMZ … “Employees involved in this matter have been suspended, pending further investigation.”

Mark’s video also showed him being asked for his ID by an attendant working the front desk.

Curry was in town for a comedy gig and the hotel has since apologized, offering to comp Mark for his stay and offering him a free visit in the future. The hotel has also said it will be retraining staff in the wake of the incident.

Jessica Chastain Reveals She Ate Banana Peels in School for Attention

Jessica Chastain‘s experience in school was a little bit bananas.

The Help actress recently looked back on her days in the classroom, where she would eat shocking foods in the cafeteria to turn heads.

“I was an obnoxious kid because I wasn’t getting appropriate attention,” she told The Guardian Dec. 10. “I would do things like eat banana peels in the lunch rooms so kids would notice me.”

Reflecting on that chapter of her life, Jessica noted how her grades altered her perception of herself. She told the outlet, “I had always thought that I wasn’t an intelligent person because I did badly at school.”

But even though Jessica didn’t feel connected to the curriculum, there was an experience from her education that changed the trajectory of her life.

“There was a trip to the Oregon Shakespeare festival and I saw Marco Barricelli play Richard III,” she explained. “Something opened up inside me. It was the strangest thing, that I could be so moved. I had the hugest crush on that actor. I became obsessed with Shakespeare.”
