ASABA, DELTA STATE — Chief Robinson Ariyo has criticised the reported proposal by the Delta State Government to convert a state-owned institution into a federal institution, arguing that the state government does not have the constitutional authority to unilaterally carry out such a transformation.
Ariyo described the reported move as constitutionally questionable, insisting that the establishment, ownership and control of federal institutions must follow the appropriate legal, legislative and administrative procedures at the federal level.
