Chief Robinson Ariyo Questions Legality of Delta State’s Proposed Federal Institution Conversion

 

ASABA, DELTA STATE — Chief Robinson Ariyo has criticised the reported proposal by the Delta State Government to convert a state-owned institution into a federal institution, arguing that the state government does not have the constitutional authority to unilaterally carry out such a transformation.

Ariyo described the reported move as constitutionally questionable, insisting that the establishment, ownership and control of federal institutions must follow the appropriate legal, legislative and administrative procedures at the federal level.

A 59-year-old Pittsburgh-area attorney has been charged in connection with an alleged cocaine trafficking operation involving members of two fraternities at Pennsylvania State University, according to Pennsylvania authorities.

Paul R. Robinson, of Churchill, is the only person charged in the investigation who is not a Penn State student, according to the report.

Robinson is a managing attorney and equity member of Meyer, Darragh, Buckler, Bebenek & Eck, PLLC, a Pittsburgh law firm headquartered in the U.S. Steel Tower.
