Tanzania pulls out of African athletics championship in Nigeria due to poor organisation and security concerns
Tanzania have pulled out the African Athletics Championships in Nigeria due to what it called poor organisation and security concerns in the west African nation.
Tanzania was expected to send five athletes to the biennual championships billed to hold in Asaba, but officials said they were dissatisfied with the poor travelling plans to the event, as well as the threat of insecurity from extremist groups in the region.
The lead-up to the event, which was due to have gotten under way on August 1, has seen
more than 300 athletes from 20 countries stranded for two days in Lagos, without flight connections to Asaba.“The organisers of the African championship acted too late in sending the invitation letters, and they also failed to assure us that we would get visas on arrival in Nigeria,” Athletics Tanzania secretary Wilhelm Gidabuday said.
“We are also concerned about the safety since the Niger Delta region where the event is being held has been put on security alert due to danger of attacks by the Boko Haram extremist groups.” Kenya, represented by 60 athletes, also saw their travel plans affected with pictures shown of athletes and officials sleeping rough at Lagos airport. Kenyan officials said the team were to travel to Asaba on Thursday for the rescheduled championships.

Ms. Egbiremonien Mary and Ms. Jennifer Ariel had concludes that if the God of Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin did not locate them, they will commit sucide to put an end to their misery.
They came to Mercy City, encounter divine grace and were blessed.
The clergy and the Partners of Mercy Television in their usual gesture blessed them with the Sum of #7million Naira (#7,000,000) to start a new life.
When God’s Grace locates a person, sins are cleansed and bondage’s are broken.
They were not only located through prophecy by the prophetic bulldozer, but were delivered, saved and blessed.
Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin and Mercy Television Partners blessed Ms. Egbiremonien Mary with #4.5Million Naira while Ms. Jennifer Ariel received #2.5Million Naira to start a new life.
According to the Prophet who is popularly called 'Owomowomo’, "Love and support is our greatest priority.

Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin also gave Prophet Edemidiong Friday the sum of #500,000 to start life afresh.

In search of solution, prophet Edemidiong started visiting spiritualists that could not help him.
But finally realized that he needed to come down to Mercy City and asked the God of prophet Jeremiah to forgive him.
The Man of God forgave him, prayed for him and gave him the sum of #500,000 to start life all over again.

White home owner calls the police when black woman stood in her doorway to escape the storm
A white woman was filmed calling the cops on a black woman who stood in her doorway to take shelter from a storm.
Darsell Obregon said she was on her way to use the subway when it started to rain so she took cover close to the door of an apartment in the Park Slope area in Broooklyn. Darsell said in a Facebook post that she had been there no more than three minutes when the
white woman came out and asked her to leave. Darsell said that when she refused to move, the woman then called the cops.

In the videos shared online, the homeowner can be seen on the phone talking to the police, asking them to come and arrest Darsell for standing in her doorway. When Darsell's Uber eventually arrives, she gets into it and tried to leave but the woman follows her, telling her not to leave and warning the driver that if he drives off, he will be aiding a criminal.
“If you go anywhere, you’ll be committing a crime as well; you know that, right?” the homeowner tells the Uber driver.
The unnamed woman continues speaking on the phone with the police, informing them that the woman was trying to leave. She then reads out the car plate number to the phone operator on the other end.
Darsell has accused the woman of “white privilege”.
In her post, Darsell wrote: “On Sunday afternoon, I was in Brooklyn walking to the train when a sudden rain storm began and I hid in the doorway OUTSIDE of a random apartment in Park Slope to shield myself from the rain and call an uber.
"No more than three minutes later a young woman who lives in the building opened the front door and told me that I can not stand there and had to leave.
"I told her I was not going to move (unbeknownst to her I was just waiting for my ride and would be leaving in a couple of minutes) so then she proceeded to call the police.

Ugandan model arrested by police over her leaked nude photos 18+
Popular Ugandan socialite and model, Judith Heard has been arrested by authorities in Uganda over her nude photos which were leaked back in May.
She was arrested on Tuesday at Kampala city streets and taken to the Kampala Central Police, after she failed to report herself despite summons made by the police.
“We had summoned her twice but she had adamantly refused to honour the summons. We decided to trace for her and we got her today. She has recorded a statement and we have her in our cells,” a police investigator who preferred anonymity said.
The investigator said Heard is the third person to be arrested over leaked nudes since a General Enquiries File (GEF 28/2018) was opened in June on orders of the anti-pornography desk at the Ethics ministry.
Police said two more socialites, Don Zella and Jack Pemba’s arrest warrants were issued.
The official also added that three people including a Uganda Christian University (UCU) student, Lillian Rukundo and blogger Ashburg Kato, were arrested early this month and have since been charged and remanded.

Athletes from across various African nations who came into Nigeria for the Africa Senior Athletics Championship in Asaba were forced to sleep on the floor at the airport in Lagos because there was no flight to Asaba.
The Asaba 2018 Africa Senior Athletics Championship is to begin today. athletes who tried to travel from Lagos to Delta state were stranded at the airport and had no choice but to sleep on their luggage and on the floor.
This incident is now being referred to as a national disgrace.
