[marriagerestoration] Impossible, NOT In God's Vocabulary!! Feb. 25, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

Impossible, NOT In God's Vocabulary!!

Nothing is hard for the Lord and impossible is NOT in His vocabulary. Whatever is your situation today, God is able to do the impossible. God cannot lose. You MUST believe and not doubt that God can do this very thing for you.

Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today…The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:13). God purposed this extravagant rescue for His glory."Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the LORD drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left" (Exodus 14:21-22).

The Israelites were saved, and Pharaoh's army was destroyed - all under the watchful eyes of the LORD. God wanted to be glorified through a seemingly impossible situation. He wants to be glorified through the difficult situations that you face, too.

"If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31) When we stand with Christ, we stand with power. What Red Sea are you facing? Nothing is impossible with God. When you set aside your doubts and call on the name of the LORD, you can face the waters of your circumstances with a strong confidence, knowing that God is able and willing to do great things in and through you.

Is anything too hard for God? Let us continue trusting in God's mercy. We are serving a living God who is able to do the Impossible. We must believe that nothing is impossible with Him.

My friends, God will show the same power in restoring your marriage. It may seem hard, your spouse may not want to have anything to do with you.

Dear friends, if God can provide wonderfully for the Israelites, do you think God cannot meet your needs by healing and restoring your marriage? Is anything too hard for God?

Think about what God did for Daniel when he was in the lions' den. GOD closed the mouths of the lions. These were very hungry lions. These lions obeyed GOD. They could not touch Daniel. Is anything too hard for God?

Think about the 3 Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace. They were thrown in this furnace. The soldiers who threw them in the furnace got burned, but these Hebrew boys didn't even smell like smoke. But guess what? God was in that furnace with them. Is anything too hard for God?

Whether your situation is big or small. Don't think about the bigness of your problems but think about the BIGNESS of your GOD. You can shout at the devil and say "I am more than a conqueror and by the power of His might, victory is mine." Take this challenge upon you and you will be victorious in the end.

I encourage you to wait for healing and restoration. Do not be disobedient by giving up. Wait and see what GOD is going to do in your situation. Use this time to get into a deep and personal relationship with the Lord. We serve a faithful GOD. Be faithful to Him.

I want to thank those who have been assisting me in this quest for the healing of marriages. Without your prayers and financial support, there is no way I would be able to encourage and minister to many. I thank God daily for your obedience and faithfulness.

Be encouraged

[marriagerestoration] Don't Lose Heart!! Feb. 24, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

Losing Heart!!

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

Good day to you my friends. I hope you are doing well as I continue to pray for and intercede on your behalf daily.

Many today are losing heart because of the long wait. They are tired of persevering. Even now many want to give up. But the Lord is telling us today, not to lose heart. Not to grow weary in the midst of our situation.

What are you seeing in your circumstances? Are you seeing a wayward spouse in disobedience? Are you seeing a wayward spouse who walked away from his/her vows? Are you seeing a wayward spouse outright living in sin? Have you been verbally or physically abused, rejected and disrespect?

It's hard not to look at the circumstance. But today I am saying: Look to Christ by faith. Trust Him because He is Supreme, and Almighty, and our High Priest who took our place for sin and He loves us. Yes, you are experiencing a bad marriage. Your physical eyes confirm this, but by faith you call out to God whom you trust to be there for you. Our Lord intervenes and gives us the healing or provides the grace to go through it.

Luke 18:1 tells us we should always pray and not give up.

2 Corinthians 4:16 tells us we should remember that we are being renewed inwardly day by day.

Galatians 6:9 tells us that we should focus on the harvest that will come if we do not give up.

Even in the midst of this struggle, we can stay hopeful and encouraged if we keep trusting in God. The Bible is full of excellent verses to encourage us! Even when times are tough, we still have the truth that God is going to take care of us – it does not get much greater than that!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, once again we praise You and thank You for never leaving or forsaking us. For there are times when we feel exactly like Paul felt. We are tempted to lose heart. We know ourselves to be wasting away—emotionally, mentally, physically… not metaphorically, but in reality.

Broken people, broken lives, strained relationships, old hurts bearing current pain… these things are sometimes far more visible to us than anything else. We go through seasons when our troubles neither feel light nor momentary, but "too much" and always.

Father, thank You that we don't have to pretend otherwise. We thank You that You remain strong when we are weak.

Father, You are a Promise Keeper. You have never lied to us, Father, never. We can trust You in the midst of our heartaches and heartbreaks. We can trust You with our angst and anger, our fears and failures, our brokenness and our bitterness. We can trust You for things we can barely see with the eye of faith.

Send your Spirit and open the eyes of our hearts. Today and tomorrow and the next day… throughout this season… give us a fresh vision of the hope to which You have called us, the inheritance you have secured for us and the power You have given us in Jesus. Eph. 1:15-23.

Father God, many of us have long-term battles in our lives that seem hopeless. We have spent countless hours on our knees in prayer, yet the enemy's onslaught continues. We are tired and weary, our hearts are sore yet we declare, 'We shall not lose heart. We shall stand and not give up. We shall persevere because greater is He who is in us than he that is in the world. We will stand Lord. Yes, we will stand and not give up.

You are so very good, Father, and so very much in control. in Jesus' merciful and mighty name. Amen.

Please Note:

Will you wupport this Ministry today. Thanks in advance. I am praying for you.

How Exercise Fuels the Brain
http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/22/how-exercise-fuels-the-brain/

By GRETCHEN REYNOLDS
Shannon Stapleton/ReutersDoes exercise keep your brain running?

Moving the body demands a lot from the brain. Exercise activates countless neurons, which generate, receive and interpret repeated, rapid-fire messages from the nervous system, coordinating muscle contractions, vision, balance, organ function and all of the complex interactions of bodily systems that allow you to take one step, then another.
This increase in brain activity naturally increases the brain's need for nutrients, but until recently, scientists hadn't fully understood how neurons fuel themselves during exercise. Now a series of animal studies from Japan suggest that the exercising brain has unique methods of keeping itself fueled. What's more, the finely honed energy balance that occurs in the brain appears to have implications not only for how well the brain functions during exercise, but also for how well our thinking and memory work the rest of the time.
For many years, scientists had believed that the brain, which is a very hungry organ, subsisted only on glucose, or blood sugar, which it absorbed from the passing bloodstream. But about 10 years ago, some neuroscientists found that specialized cells in the brain, known as astrocytes, that act as support cells for neurons actually contained small stores of glycogen, or stored carbohydrates. And glycogen, as it turns out, is critical for the health of cells throughout the brain.
In petri dishes, when neurons, which do not have energy stores of their own, are starved of blood sugar, their neighboring astrocytes undergo a complex physiological process that results in those cells' stores of glycogen being broken down into a form easily burned by neurons. This substance is released into the space between the cells and the neurons swallow it, maintaining their energy levels.
But while scientists knew that the brain had and could access these energy stores, they had been unable to study when the brain's stored energy was being used in actual live conditions, outside of petri dishes, because brain glycogen is metabolized or burned away very rapidly after death; it's gone before it can be measured.
That's where the Japanese researchers came in. They had developed a new method of using high-powered microwave irradiation to instantly freeze glycogen levels at death, so that the scientists could accurately assess just how much brain glycogen remained in the astrocytes or had recently been used.
In the first of their new experiments, published last year in The Journal of Physiology, scientists at the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Neuroscience at the University of Tsukuba gathered two groups of adult male rats and had one group start a treadmill running program, while the other group sat for the same period of time each day on unmoving treadmills. The researchers' aim was to determine how much the level of brain glycogen changed during and after exercise.
Using their glycogen detection method, they discovered that prolonged exercise significantly lowered the brain's stores of energy, and that the losses were especially noticeable in certain areas of the brain, like the frontal cortex and the hippocampus, that are involved in thinking and memory, as well as in the mechanics of moving.
The findings of their subsequent follow-up experiment, however, were even more intriguing and consequential. In that study, which appears in this month's issue of The Journal of Physiology, the researchers studied animals after a single bout of exercise and also after four weeks of regular, moderate-intensity running.
After the single session on the treadmill, the animals were allowed to rest and feed, and then their brain glycogen levels were studied. The food, it appeared, had gone directly to their heads; their brain levels of glycogen not only had been restored to what they had been before the workout, but had soared past that point, increasing by as much as a 60 percent in the frontal cortex and hippocampus and slightly less in other parts of the brain. The astrocytes had "overcompensated," resulting in a kind of brain carbo-loading.
The levels, however, had dropped back to normal within about 24 hours.
That was not the case, though, if the animals continued to exercise. In those rats that ran for four weeks, the "supercompensation" became the new normal, with their baseline levels of glycogen showing substantial increases compared with the sedentary animals. The increases were especially notable in, again, those portions of the brain critical to learning and memory formation — the cortex and the hippocampus.
Which is why the findings are potentially so meaningful – and not just for rats.
While a brain with more fuel reserves is potentially a brain that can sustain and direct movement longer, it also "may be a key mechanism underlying exercise-enhanced cognitive function," says Hideaki Soya, a professor of exercise biochemistry at the University of Tsukuba and senior author of the studies, since supercompensation occurs most strikingly in the parts of the brain that allow us better to think and to remember. As a result, Dr. Soya says, "it is tempting to suggest that increased storage and utility of brain glycogen in the cortex and hippocampus might be involved in the development" of a better, sharper brain.
Given the limits of current technologies, brain glycogen metabolism cannot be studied in people. But even so, the studies' findings make D.I.Y. brain-fuel supercompensation efforts seem like an attractive possibility. And, according to unpublished data from Dr. Soya's lab, the process may even be easy.
He and his colleagues have found that "glycogen supercompensation in some brain loci" is "enhanced in rats receiving carbohydrates immediately after exhaustive exercise." So for people, that might mean that after a run or other exercise that is prolonged or strenuous enough to leave you tired, a bottle of chocolate milk or a banana might be just the thing your brain is needing.

[marriagerestoration] God Is Faithful! - Feb. 23, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

God Is Faithful!!

First, Christ tells us that there is no trial that we may go through
but such as is "common to man." There are times when we feel that no
one can possibly understand what we are going through. We feel that
we may not be able to make it, because we're having to endure what no
one else has had to endure.

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to
try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice,
inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His
glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy."
(1 Peter 4:12-13)

God is saying, in essence, "I know that what you are going through is
very hard. I know it may seem unbearable. But you need to realize
that others have gone though very similar trials. I enabled them to
get through it. I will get you through it too!"

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but
God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye
are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape,
that ye may be able to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:13)

In these words, God has given us an extremely powerful three-fold
source of encouragement for times of fiery trial!

When we are going through a fiery trial, it can help enormously if a
friend can lay his hand on our shoulder and honestly say, "I know
this is tough. I've been through something very similar to it. I
didn't think I could make it. But God got me through it. I know He
will do the same for you."

But even if there is not a specific friend around who is able to say
those words to you, this verse reminds us that there are indeed
others out there who have been given grace by God to get through
similar trials.

I, Pastor Doreen, can stand right now and tell you that I
have been through trials upon trials, and the Lord has taken me
through. He helped me. He will help you, too.

God assures us in this verse that He will not allow us to be tested
"above what we are able." How often we feel that we have reached the
end of our rope - when we really haven't. How often we feel that we
can endure no more - when we really can. You see, God is the One Who
knows us better that anyone else possibly could. He knows us better
than we know ourselves. He knows how much we can bear. He knows
exactly which "straw would break the camel's back." And He promises
that He will never allow that much testing to come our way.

When we are tempted to cry out, "Oh God, I can't take anymore!", He
gently reminds us of these words. "I will not allow you to be tested
above what you are able to bear."

Finally He promises that He "will with the temptation also make a way
to escape, that you may be able to bear it."

There are those times of trial when there seems to be absolutely no
way out. It's as if we have been pushed into a room with no way of
escape. We can see no hope whatsoever of getting out. In those
times, He says, "I will make a way to escape." At just the right
time, in just the right way, He will open the door.

It is not easy to remember how limited our vision is when we are
staring horrible circumstances in the face. It is not easy to
remember that we have a Father who is bigger than any horrible
circumstance could ever be. It is during these times when we must
force our gaze away from the circumstances and onto God. As Peter's
Lord has said so well, "Most of us tend to gaze at our circumstances
and glance at God now and then. We need to reverse that. We need to
gaze upon God and glance at our circumstances."

It is during times like these when we must cling to His promises
knowing that however bleak the circumstances might be, He will
certainly see us through!

When you are going through the fiery trial, let this verse be God's
way of giving you three powerful reasons why you should... Never,
ever give up.

[marriagerestoration] God's Timing Is Perfect - Feb. 22, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

God's Timing Is Perfect!!

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV 1984)

"Oh God, please hurry. The wait is too long!"

How often have I approached God's timing the same way? And it never hurries Him up either.

When God doesn't operate at a pace that pleases me, and I want Him to hurry, I'm reminded of Sarah, Abraham's wife. I have feeling she felt the same way. After waiting ten years for a baby that God had promised (read Genesis 12-21 for the complete story), Sarah decided to "help" God.

Surely ten years was too long for anybody to wait. So Sarah gave her maidservant Hagar to her husband, and the two of them had a child. Soon the two women were at odds.

Finally, fifteen years later, the child promised by God to Abraham and Sarah was born. God was not late. His timing was perfect. It was Sarah who was in a hurry and rushing things, but she found out there was a price to pay for manipulating her circumstances.

Even noq I am waiting on God to answer my prayers. Many times I wish God would hurry up and deliver my breakthrough. I know Sarah and I are not alone in our desire for God to hurry up.

In Isaiah 55:9 God says, "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" (NIV).

God's timing is part of His ways. I may be tapping my watch, but He is never late. He may seem slow, but He is always right on time.

Has God made a promise to you that seems sluggish in coming? Has He planted a dream in your heart that has yet to come to fruition?

Today I say to you mr friends, "Don't give up hope! God is faithful, and you can rely on His perfect timing. Fix your eyes on Him and enjoy the journey to your destination. There are things to be learned along the way that will enhance the joy of a promise fulfilled."

God has a perfect timing to make a way leading to healing. When God gets ready, whether a wayward spouse is willing or unwilling, they have got to move. God does as He pleases, only as He pleases always as He pleases. None can thwart Him, none can hinder Him. So His own Word expressly declares:

Isaiah 46:10, 11 "Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: ...yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it."

Dear Lord, sometimes I don't understand Your timing. It's often very hard to wait, but I trust You. I want to rely on Your ways and Your timing. Help me to learn what I need to learn as I wait. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I want to thank those who have been assisting me in this quest for the healing of marriages. Without your prayers and financial support, there is no way I would be able to encourage and minister to many. I thank God daily for your obedience and faithfulness.

This Ministry is 501(c)(3) certified by IRS and your gift is qualified for tax deductions. Thanks for your faithfulness.

[marriagerestoration] This Will Work For Your Good!! - Feb. 21, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

Romans 8:28 All things work together for good to them that loves God and are called according to His purpose.

God is able to make all things right. No matter how hopeless or futile a situation may be. If we understand this scripture we understand that God is able to take even the worst details of the worst situation and turn it into abounding grace.

Genesis 50:20 "You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive"

Time after time, the Bible records hopeless situations that ultimately ended in victory.

In your situation, God is able to reverse evil and turn it to good. God is able to make what's wrong right. God is able to open every closed doors. God is able to make every crooked path straight. He is able to open your "Red Sea." He is able to make a way where there is no way.

Think of Job's sickness, David's adultery, and the many who were healed in mind, body, and spirit. But Joseph told them,"…You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive" (Genesis 50:20).

Joseph is one of the true heroes of the faith. He was treated very unfairly and unkindly by his brothers. Although evil was done against Joseph, God turned his situation around for the saving of lives.

Even while you go through this situation in your marriage, God will turn it around for your good. If you are struggling to see God's hand in your life, be encouraged. Joseph had his fair share of challenges, too. In the end, it became evident that through all the challenges and less than desirable circumstances Joseph faced, God was working to fulfill His purposes. What was meant for evil, God turned around for good.

One of the most encouraging and comforting things that a Christian needs to realise and constantly remember--particularly when he's going through times of trouble, trials and tribulations--is that our Heavenly Father LOVES us, and is in absolute and total control of our lives!--And that NOTHING can happen to us without HIS will or HIS permission!

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." (Proverbs 16:9).

So even if WE don't always understand exactly why we're going through such trials, GOD knows what He's doing! He knows all the purposes and reasons behind every test, trial, affliction, etc. God is in control.

He promises us in His Word, "ALL THINGS work together for GOOD to them that love God."--Romans 8:28.

Thanks for all your prayers and support. I am most grateful.

Be encouraged

Free access to paper on "Protein for Adaptations to Exercise Training" by Kevin Tipton http://t.co/nEkovEE2

Nutrient intake before, during, and after training will influence the adaptations that occur in response to the training stimulus. The influence of protein on training adaptations is receiving increasing attention from researchers. Methodological issues should be carefully considered when evaluating evidence of nutritional influence on training adaptations. Evidence suggests that adaptations to training are due to changes in the types and activities of various proteins in response to each exercise bout. Thus, study of the acute metabolic and molecular responses to exercise plus nutrition may provide valuable information about the expected influence on training adaptations. The type of protein, timing of protein ingestion relative to exercise, concurrent ingestion of other nutrients with protein, as well as the type of exercise training performed will impact the adaptations to training with the intake of protein. Protein is an important nutrient for muscle hypertrophy with training, but there is little support for the need for very high (e.g. >2.5–3.0 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight) intakes. Traditionally, endurance athletes have focused on carbohydrate intake, but recently protein has been touted to be critical during and after endurance exercise. There is evidence for and against the importance of protein for endurance exercise and more, well-controlled studies are required to delineate the importance of protein for endurance exercise adaptations. Whereas nutritional manipulations have customarily been focused on preventing protein degradation, muscle damage, and oxidative stress, recent evidence suggests that these processes may be critical for the optimal adaptive response to training.
