‘Flashdance’ and ‘Fame’ Singer Irene Cara Dead at 63

Irene Cara, the singer behind huge ’80s hits from “Flashdance” and “Fame” has died.

Cara passed away in her Florida home Friday, according to her rep. Details surrounding her death were not disclosed.

Irene won an Oscar for Best Original Song for “What a Feeling” — the iconic song from “Flashdance” which made her a household name.

Irene also scored big with her monster hit, “Fame” from the movie of the same name. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for “Best Actress” for her work in the movie.

Cara went on to appear in other movies, including “City Heat,” co-starring Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds. She also played opposite Tatum O’Neal in “Certain Fury.”

In 2004, Irene was honored with a Prestige Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Her rep said, “It is with profound sadness that on behalf of her family I announce the passing of Irene Cara. Irene’s family has requested privacy as they process their grief. She was a beautifully gifted soul whose legacy will live forever through her music and films.”

Irene was 63.

Kanye West has lost friends, fans and billions of dollars in business deals, but he seems to have picked up at least one amid his antisemitic rants … white nationalist Nick Fuentes.

West and the former YouTuber — who lost his account for violating the platform’s hate speech policy — were spotted together at LAX earlier this week. Kanye announced Tuesday he was making the trek to former President Donald Trump‘s Mar-a-Lago home, tweeting … “First time at Mar-a-Lago. Rain and traffic. Can’t believe I kept President Trump waiting. And I had on jeans. Yikes. What you guys think his response was when I asked him to be my running mate in 2024?”

In a video posted Thursday, where West announced his run for President in 2024, he disclosed he and Fuentes both met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago — and that things got heated between himself and 45 … claiming Trump made disparaging remarks about his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

As for 24-year-old Fuentes, he’s been banned from platforms including Twitter, Twitch and Reddit for his hateful views. In 2017, it was reported he spoke positively of “a tidal wave of white identity” after he attended the Unite the Right rally.

He’s denounced those who call him a white nationalist, calling the term an “anti-white slur.”

There’s a super rare piece of Bob Dylan history going up for sale … the original lyrics to one of his most famous songs, “Desolation Row” … and it’s got a six-figure price tag.

Bob scribbled the poetic lyrics on a couple sheets of paper way back in 1965, and now the manuscript is hitting the open market for the first time ever. The parchment also has a few of Bob’s edits.

The good folks over at Moments In Time are handling the sale … and the asking price is a staggering $425,000 … so ya gotta have some pretty deep pockets.

As Bob’s fans know, “Desolation Row” is generally considered one of his top five songs of all time. The sprawling song features a ton of lyrics — the track is over 11 minutes long — with Bob flexing his skills as a poet with tons of literary imagery.

“Desolation Row” is the last track on Bob’s famous 1965 album, “Highway 61 Revisited,” which opens with his biggest hit, “Like a Rolling Stone.”

We’re told the seller is a man who has been friends with Bob since they were kids … he was given the lyrics sheet over 20 years ago, and held onto them until deciding to sell. Smart guy!!!

RHOA’s Porsha Williams Marries Simon Guobadia

Porsha Williams got her happy ending.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 41, has married entrepreneur Simon Guobadia, 57, her rep confirms to E! News.

According to People, the couple wed in a Nigerian native law and custom ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta on Nov. 25. The outlet reported that Simon, who is from Benin City in the Edo State of Nigeria, and Porsha had traditional Benin singers and dancers perform at the ceremony.

For the reception, Porsha told the publication she wanted guests to “feel like they have taken a flight and landed in Benin.”

“The whole room should be transformed with beautiful colors of browns and rose golds and tans and creams. It should be really, really beautiful and give you that authentic African feel,” she shared, later adding, “The other thing I wanted was trees in the room. I want it to feel like an inside/outside space, but luxurious.”

NeNe Leakes’ Son Brentt Leaves Hospital 2 Months After Stroke

NeNe Leakes is thankful to have her family under one roof again.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum shared that her 23-year-old son, Brentt Leakes, has been released from the hospital two months after suffering a stroke. On Nov. 23, a day before Thanksgiving, NeNe posted a video of Brentt, clad in a pink hoodie and matching sweatpants, saying goodbye to his nurses as he walked out of the building.

“My son[‘s] life changed Sept 26,” she wrote on Instagram Stories, adding in separate posts, “To God be the Glory…HE’s Walking and Talking.”

Alongside the health update, NeNe also gave her followers a glimpse of Brentt’s recovery process. Showing how far her son has come since his stroke, she posted a photo of herself by Brentt’s hospital bed and videos of him learning how to walk again through physiotherapy treatments. In one clip, Brentt is seen strapped to a harness as he takes slow steps on a treadmill. Another video shows him walking backwards while tossing a ball to a nurse.

NeNe Leakes‘ 23-year-old son is finally home from the hospital … two months after a frightening medical emergency.

The ‘RHOA’ star just shared a positive health update on her son Brentt Leakes … posting videos of him walking out of a hospital Wednesday after suffering both a heart attack and a stroke.

In the videos, Brentt is slowly walking down the hospital hallways as nurses cheer him on and say goodbye as he heads for the exit.

It’s a huge accomplishment for NeNe’s son … she also shared videos of his long road to recovery … because he had to learn how to walk again.

Other photos show Brentt in his hospital bed, hooked up to medical devices as NeNe sits by his bedside.

TMZ broke the story … Brentt suffered a stroke and heart failure in September and was taken to a Georgia hospital, where he remained until Wednesday.

From Joey’s meat sweats to a hilarious guest appearance by Brad Pitt, this one has it all. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. “The One With the Rumor” starts off with Monica declaring that she isn’t going to cook a turkey since half the gang doesn’t want it. Joey, unhappy about this, changes Monica’s mind by promising to finish the entire bird himself.

Meanwhile, Monica, Ross and Rachel’s high school peer Will (Pitt) joins them. However, Will is upset to learn that Rachel is in attendance, as she wasn’t very nice to him in high school. During the meal, Will reveals that he and Ross were in the “I Hate Rachel” club and started a rumor that she was an intersexual. (Note: This part of the plot did not age well.) Before Rachel can get fully outraged, Monica reminds her pal that she started a rumor about Ross and the 50-year-old librarian—which wasn’t a rumor, per Ross’ confession.

Problematic jokes aside, the dynamic between then-married Pitt and Aniston was very funny.

The L.A. Mission on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles was crawling with famous folks Wednesday, as dozens of celebs got hands deep in mashed potatoes and gravy ahead of the holiday.

There were tons of reality TV stars volunteering, including “Vanderpump Rules” cast members Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix and Raquel Leviss.

Other celebs serving up turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, collard greens, and biscuits included “Shahs of Sunset” alums Reza Farahan and Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi … plus film producer Randall Emmett with his family, Kaycee Stroh, Emily Tosta, Tiffany Smith, Emma Caufield Ford, Frank Grillo, Chris McDonald, Montana Tucker and Julie Ann Emery.

Politicians got in on the act too — like incoming Mayor Karen Bass, incoming L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna and former L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Also serving meals to the 1,500 folks who needed some food … Miss California USA Kelley Johnson and health and wellness entrepreneurs Liv Lo Golding and Hayley Hasselhoff.

The iconic home from “The Goonies” appears to be changing hands … TMZ has learned the owner already has a buyer for the property.

Our real estate sources say owner, Sandi Preston, accepted an offer Friday for the Oregon estate … which went on the market just 5 days ago with a $1,650,000 asking price.

The Victorian-style home is 2,336 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and sweeping views of the Oregon coast.

The house was built way back in 1896 in Astoria and it skyrocketed to fame after being featured in the 1985 Steven Spielberg coming-of-age film. Now, it’s a mecca of sorts for movie buffs, with tons of daily visitors flocking to the property.

Sandi lived there for the past 21 years … but we’re told she’s ready for the next phase of her life and decided to sell.

Listing agent Jordan Miller of John L. Scott Market Center told us the sale has not yet closed but the buyer will be made public next week … so it will be interesting to see who snapped it up, because our sources say offers were coming in from all corners of the globe.

Why Norman Reedus Says Walking Dead Spin-Off Is So “Different”

Get ready for a whole new kind of zombie story.

Norman Reedus, whose 11 season journey as Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead came to an end during the Nov. 20 series finale, says there’s plenty more in store from his highly-anticipated upcoming Daryl-centric spin-off—but fans should prepare themselves for an abrupt shift.

“It’s very different,” Norman exclusively told E! News. “It’s different in tone. It’s different in photography style. It sounds different. I’m shooting in castles and stuff.”

In the aforementioned finale, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) sends Daryl on a discovery mission to France, which is where the spin-off will take place.

“The light in France is different than the light in America,” Norman explained. “The tone, the way people work is different over there. It’s a very singular vision. It’s a tunnel vision story, and things are happening right away. With The Walking Dead, there will be 15 cameras and 15 angles of me walking across the street. There, it’s simplified.”

Cleveland Browns Stadium Field Wrecked After Alleged Joyrider Break-In

As if Cleveland’s season couldn’t get any worse — some rando allegedly broke into FirstEnergy Stadium and took a joyride on the field just days before the Browns’ next home game … resulting in a bunch of damage.

The incident reportedly went down early Tuesday morning … forcing the Browns’ grounds crew to rush to repair the grass before Sunday’s matchup against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Pictures captured by News Channel 5 show tire marks throughout the field … with a road roller working to improve the home turf.

Luckily, the team told the outlet the damage is superficial … which means there’s a good chance Sunday’s game will go down without any hiccups.

Police believe the joyride occurred after someone broke into the stadium and got ahold of a golf cart. The whole thing is currently under investigation.

“We are aware of the incident that occurred early Tuesday morning at FirstEnergy Stadium and have provided the Cleveland Division of Police with all relevant information,” the team said in a statement.

“Based on our internal evaluation, there was some superficial damage to the playing field that our grounds maintenance team is currently working to repair.”

“We take great pride in the strong reviews and reputation of our stadium’s playing surface, have been in touch with the NFL on the matter and are confident after repair our field will be ready for Sunday’s game vs. the Tampa Buccaneers.”

James Cameron Says Leonardo DiCaprio Almost Lost Titanic Role

That was a dealbreaker for Cameron, who said he shook DiCaprio’s hand and thanked him “for coming by.”

“And [DiCaprio] said, ‘Wait, wait, wait. You mean, if I don’t read, I don’t get the part, just like that?'” Cameron continued. “And I said, ‘Oh yeah, come on. This is like a giant movie.'”

As Cameron puts it, the film was going to take up “two years of my life,” and he did not want to make “the wrong decision in casting.” Afterward, he gave DiCaprio a choice: “You’re going to read or you’re not going to get the part.”

DiCaprio agreed, though Cameron noted the future Oscar winner did so begrudgingly.

“So he comes in, and every ounce of his entire being is just so negative right up until I said, ‘Action,’ and then he turned into Jack. And Kate just lit up and they went into this whole thing and he played the scene,” Cameron said. “Dark clouds had opened up and a ray of sun came down and light up Jack. I’m like, ‘Alright, he’s the guy.'”

JoJo Siwa revealed how a bond with Elton John has helped her throughout her life.

“When they asked me to do the VMAs, I had never watched them before,” he said on Nov. 21. “I’ve seen clips, but I never watched a red carpet thing before. I didn’t really know what it meant. Todd Chrisley Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Bank Fraud, Tax Evasion Case

Todd and Julie Chrisley are going to do hard time after being convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion … a judge just sentenced Todd to 12 years in prison and Julie to 7.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” stars learned their fate Monday in federal court in Atlanta, where U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross handed down their punishment. They also both received 16 months probation.

As we reported … Todd and Julie were found guilty on a slew of federal charges back in June, and they were holed up in their Nashville mansion on house arrest as they awaited sentencing.

Federal prosecutors argued Monday for lengthy prison sentences for Todd and Julie … around 22 years for Todd and a dozen for Julie. On the other side, Todd’s lawyers argued he should get a maximum of 9 years in prison, while Julie’s lawyers argued she should spend no time behind bars and just get probation.

TMZ broke the story … Todd and Julie were indicted back in 2019 with prosecutors claiming the couple defrauded banks by obtaining millions of dollars in loans based on false financial documents. The U.S. Attorney’s Office also said Todd and Julie cheated the government by actively evading federal income taxes.

Todd and Julie have more headaches too … as we first told you, Todd’s being sued over podcast remarks about a Georgia official who investigated him for tax evasion, and their son Grayson was recently involved in a scary car accident where he was badly injured.

Sinbad Still Learning to Walk 2 Years After Stroke, Family Gives Update

Sinbad suffered a life-changing stroke 2 years ago … and in the first update since his medical emergency, the star’s family says he’s got a long road ahead of him on the way to recovery.

The family put out a lengthy release Monday, saying Sinbad was in the hospital for 9 months before his July release. They say he’s still “fighting for every inch,” and his limbs that were said to be “dead” are coming back to life. They say he’s taking all the steps he can to learn how to walk again.

Sinbad’s family says the survival rate from a stroke like his is around 30% … but they’re celebrating him beating those odds. His family also says they’re looking for some help in the process … noting the costs of his therapy have “far exceeded” what insurance covers.

They say it’s taken a financial toll on them, and they’ve set up a website for anyone looking to contribute in any way they can.

As we reported, the comedian was recovering from a stroke in November of 2020 … with his family saying they were “faithful and optimistic that he will bring laughter into our hearts soon.”

Turns out, it was caused by a blood clot that traveled from his heart to brain, and after the first, he got another clot — followed by brain swelling and a bleed.

Julia Fox Says She Dated Kanye West to “Get Him Off Kim’s Case”

Julia Fox is revealing details surrounding her past romance with Kanye West.

In a Nov. 21 TikTok, the Uncut Gems actress reflected on her whirlwind monthlong relationship with the controversy-riddled rapper, explaining why she got involved him in the first place. And as Julia puts it, she felt it might actually help the Yeezy founder’s estranged wife Kim Kardashian if she dated him.

“First of all, the man was being normal around me,” she said in the video. “Not only that but the Kardashians, when I had a fashion line ten years ago they actually bought our clothes and sold them in their stores so I’ve always had a love for Kim especially.” 

She added that when Kanye first started pursuing her, she hadn’t seen any red flags from him.

“I remember he was texting me and I wasn’t really answering,” the 32-year-old continued. “And I didn’t want to talk to a celebrity again because nothing ever comes of it, it’s boring and they are not what you think they are going to be like.”

Jason Oppenheim Teases “Issues” on Selling Sunset Season 6

Have no fear, the sun is not setting on the Selling Sunset drama.

Despite the departure of everybody’s favorite office villain Christine Quinn after season five, the upcoming sixth season of the Netflix real estate series will not lack for intrigue in her absence. 

“I think everyone thought that everyone was going to get along and there would be less drama, but I think that is not the case,” Selling Sunset star and Oppenheim Group CEO Jason Oppenheim exclusively told E! News. “Arguably that’s good for the show, but I don’t know if that’s good for me and the work dynamic. Definitely there have been some issues between agents this season.”

Jason also teased that some of the power dynamics inside the Oppenheim Group office have changed between members of the returning cast, which include Chrishell Stause, Amanza Smith and Mary Fitzgerald. 

“Mary’s taken a larger role as the manager,” Jason, who recently partnered with the Ten Sixty real estate app, explained. “Some of the other women have stepped in. I am there if necessary, but I definitely try to reserve my involvement for when it’s absolutely necessary. I think that’s served me well and, arguably, served the brokerage well.”

Cardi B Delivers Surprise Performance at 2022 American Music Awards

Cardi B was born to flex on the 2022 American Music Awards stage.

The “WAP” artist made the 2022 American Music Awards that much more epic by making a surprise appearance on stage to perform “Tomorrow 2” with GloRilla during the ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. on Nov. 20.

Of course, this is not the first time Cardi has turned heads at the AMAs. Back in 2020, she made history by becoming the first artist to win the American Music Award for Favorite Song in the Rap/Hip Hop category twice—once in 2018 for “Bodak Yellow” and once in 2020 for “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion.

It’s important to note that Cardi’s winning streak in that category didn’t stop in 2020. In 2021, she also took home the prize for her song “Up.” As for how many AMAs Cardi has collected total? The “Be Careful” rapper has an impressive six under her belt.

Machine Gun Kelly‘s red carpet look was on point—literally.

The punk rocker continued to prove that his fashion is unmatched, as he dressed as sharp as a needle for the 2022 American Music Awards on Nov. 20. While gracing the red carpet at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, MGK (née Colson Baker) wore a vibrant purple suit from Dolce & Gabbana that consisted of larger-than-life metal spikes.

The “Emo Girl” singer added extra edge to his bold look with a silver chain necklace adorned with spikes (of course!), an array of matching rings and black silver-studded combat boots.

MGK, who won the Favorite Rock Artist Award, poked fun at his outfit during his acceptance speech. (You can read the full list of winners here.) 

“This suit is really uncomfortable to pee in,” he quipped. “Speaking of uncomfortable, there have been some people in the rock community who have called me a tourist, but they’re wrong. I’m a rocket man.”
