Popular Nigerian On-Air Personality, Toolz, has mocked Nigerian senator, Dino Melaye in a new post she made on social media.
Toolz

News went round yesterday that Nigerian Senator, Dino Melaye was kidnapped by some gunmen and that his whereabouts was unknown.

The news trended on social media and left many Nigerians divided on whether or not the story was authentic.

Dino Melaye later emerged from his ‘captivity’, announcing that he had 'escaped’ the terrible attack on him and that he was now free.

However, many Nigerians have found the kidnap story implausible with many insisting that the senator faked it to escape attending a court sitting.

Nigerian OAP, Toolz, is apparently one of those people. In a new post she made on Instagram, the woman shared a  photo asking people what theatrics Dino Melaye will employ in his next outing.

13 Important Reasons Why ‘You’re Still Single’...

13 Important Reasons Why ‘You’re Still Single’

Are you one of the people who have remained single for such a long time that you start to think that the universe is out to get you or the terrestrial forces from your village put a target on their forehead? You’d find this article very helpful.

File photo used for illutrative purpose (Image source: Google)

Here are the 13 likely reasons why you are still single:

1. You fear being vulnerable

People often fear what they don’t know and try to protect themselves from situations where they become dependent on someone else either for their happiness or something else. People fear getting hurt, but the only trick or solution to this is to find the right person to be vulnerable with.

2. You’re stuck in a “Situation-ship”

Like the modern day relationship tagged “Friends with benefits”(FWB), most people these days like to avoid the responsibilities that comes with being in a relationship so they just prefer to have their sexual needs met without being emotionally attached.

Getting out of this type of relationship gets tough when one party gets emotionally attached. The only way out of this is having a discussion about what you both want and if it doesn’t match your needs, take a further step to end it and move on.

3. You’re stuck on an ex

Moving on from a loved one can prove tough but, no matter how cliche it may seem, you have to go out and meet new people. Some breakups can leave you confused and have you questioning your awesomeness. But give yourself another chance to love and stop pushing away people who make an attempt.

4. You believe in “e-romance”

Although it may seem easier and they may meet your attachment needs, online romances aren’t always the real deal and are often not good enough.

5. You’re looking for “the one”

Most people think there is only one ideal partner meant for them in the entire universe and they limit themselves to finding the perfect one without giving any other person a chance. We suggest that you correct your mindset, choose someone, and then allow them to get closer to you.

6. You limit yourself with standards

People often focus on certain criteria like “must have a college degree,” “must live within this distance” “must be this age” “must drive this car” “must be 6ft tall” etc, but while its always good to have a standard, learn not to limit yourself to types and get carried away as someone could possess all of your superficial criteria, and still be a wrong for you or not be even remotely attracted to you.

7. You don’t know what you want

People often like to lament on how they are single and haven’t met anyone, but when asked what exactly they want or need from a partner they go blank. Deciding what you really want in a partner gets you 50% ahead of your search.

If you’re really ready to be serious, you’ll have to be very expressive with your words and stop saying things like “lets see how things go”, “I’m not sure what i want right now”,etc.

8. You’re impatient and settle too easily

You hear of people starting a new relationship just after breaking up with another person. Although some people use this as a coping mechanism, it mostly never works as they just always try to fill a void.

After a break up, allow yourself be sad and cry if you want, express your emotions instead of bottling it up then when you feel you’ve moved on then you can begin a new relationship

9. You Play Hard to Get

While it may seem like fun to take your time and play the hardball game, there is really no point in making a person to keep trying if you don’t share the same feelings. Once you realize there is no possible chance to have a serious relationship with a person, let this person know so you both can move on to other people.

10. You Think You Should Wait.

These days you hear guys say they are waiting to have money before they get into a relationship and other excuses from ladies on wy they would rather wait.
The truth remains that you can find that special someone and improve while you’re with them.

11. You Think Good Mates Are Scarce

The fact that you have met some bad eggs doesn’t mean everyone is out to disappoint you.Sitting back and hoping the right one finds you isn’t the way to go as you’ll only be setting yourself up for disappointment so just go out there and date.

12. You can’t express yourself

Hard to believe as it may seem, maybe due to social awkwardness or other reasons, some people find it hard or don’t know hot to express themselves and lose out experiencing beautiful relationships. Learn to express your feelings even if its reciprocated or not.

13. You don’t put yourself out there

As the popular internet slang says “shoot your shot”, we now see people taking chances to meet new people they fancy by asking them out on several platforms.

Note that if you wait for fate to drop Mr/Mrs. Right on your laps then you’re up for a disappointment as in this case, you have to take the bull by the horn. Also don’t shy away from social events, who know who you may meet.

“I lived with the suspect from March till September 2017, when I told her to prepare tea for both of us to drink.

“After I drank the tea, I slept from 7a.m. and woke up 10p.m., only to discover that the suspect had stolen all my properties and money and escaped.

“I later sighted her at Lekki in June this year and raised the alarm, which attracted people who assisted me to apprehend her and dragged her to the police station.”

Magistrate M. F. Onanusi granted Giwa N200,000 bail, with one surety in like sum, adjourned the case till August 1 for mention and ordered that the defendant be kept at Kirikiri Prisons, pending when she is able to perfect her bail conditions.

12 Simple Habits That Set Ultra-Successful People Apart...

12 Simple Habits That Set Ultra-Successful People Apart

Success comes down to emotional intelligence more than anything else. In this article, originally published on LinkedIn Pulse, Dr. Travis Bradberry shows how ultra-successful people use this skill to achieve their dreams.

A study at Strayer University found that most people think success is about achieving your personal goals.
Ultra-successful people delight themselves by blowing their personal goals out of the water. They succeed along many different dimensions of life: their friendships, their physical and
mental health, their families, and their jobs (which they are not only good at, but also enjoy).
TalentSmart has conducted research with more than a million people and found that ultra-successful people have a lot in common. In particular, 90 percent of them are skilled at managing their emotions in order to stay focused, calm and productive.
These ultra-successful folks have high emotional intelligence (EQ), a critical quality to achieving your dreams.
Although I’ve run across numerous effective strategies that ultra-successful people employ to reach their goals, what follows are 12 of the best. Some of these might seem obvious, but the real challenge lies in recognizing when you need to use them and having the wherewithal to actually do so.

1. They’re composed.

Ultra-successful people are composed because they constantly monitor their emotions; they understand them, and they use this knowledge in the moment to react to challenging situations with self-control. When things go downhill, they are persistently calm and frustratingly content (frustrating to those who aren’t, at least). They know that no matter how good or bad things get, everything changes with time. All they can do is adapt and adjust to stay happy and in control.

2. They’re knowledgeable.

Super-successful people know more than others do because they’re constantly working to increase their self-awareness. They vow constant growth. Whenever they have a spare moment, they fill it with self-education. They don’t do this because it’s “the right thing to do”; they do it because it’s their passion. They’re always looking for opportunities to improve and new things to learn about themselves and the world around them. Instead of succumbing to their fear of looking stupid, truly exceptional people just ask the questions on their mind, because they would rather learn something new than appear smart.

3. They’re deliberate.

Ultra-successful people reach decisions by thinking things out, seeking advice from others and sleeping on it. They know that (as studies show) impulsively relying too much on gut instinct is ineffective and misleading. Being able to slow down and logically think things through makes all the difference.

4. They speak with certainty.

It’s rare to hear super-successful people utter things, such as “um,” “I’m not sure,” and “I think.” Successful people speak assertively because they know it’s difficult to get people to listen to you if you can’t deliver your ideas with conviction.

5. They use positive body language.

Becoming cognizant of your gestures, expressions and tone of voice (and making certain they’re positive) draws people to you like ants to a picnic. Using an enthusiastic tone, uncrossing your arms, maintaining eye contact and leaning toward the person who’s speaking are all forms of positive body language that super-successful people use to draw others in. Positive body language makes all the difference in a conversation because how you say something can be more important than what you say.

6. They leave a strong first impression.

Research shows that most people decide whether they like you within the first seven seconds of meeting you. Then they spend the rest of the conversation internally justifying their initial reaction. This might sound terrifying, but by knowing this, you can take advantage of it to make huge gains in how people respond to you. First impressions are tied intimately to positive body language. A strong posture, a firm handshake, a smile and open shoulders help ensure your first impression is a good one.

7. They seek out small victories.

Successful people like to challenge themselves and compete, even when their efforts yield only small victories. Small victories build new androgen receptors in the areas of the brain responsible for reward and motivation. The increase in androgen receptors increases the influence of testosterone, which further increases the confidence and eagerness to tackle future challenges. When you achieve a series of small victories, the boost in your confidencecan last for months.

8. They’re fearless.

Fear is nothing more than a lingering emotion fueled by your imagination. Danger is real. It’s the uncomfortable rush of adrenaline you get when you almost step in front of a bus. Fear is a choice. Exceptional people know this better than anyone, so they flip fear on its head. Instead of letting fear take over, successful people are addicted to the euphoric feeling of conquering fears.

9. They’re graceful.

Graceful people are the perfect combination of strong and gentle. They don’t resort to intimidation, anger or manipulation to get a point across because their gentle, self-assured nature gets the job done. The word gentle often carries a negative connotation (especially in the workplace), but in reality, it’s the gentleness of being graceful that gives ultra-successful people their power. They’re approachable, likeable and easy to get along with—all qualities that make people highly amenable to their ideas.

10. They’re honest.

Super-successful people trust that honesty and integrity, though painful at times, always work out for the best in the long run. They know that honesty enables genuine connections with people in a way that dishonesty can’t, and that lying always comes back to bite you in the end. In fact, a Notre Dame study showed that people who often lied experienced more mental health problems than their more honest counterparts.

11. They’re grateful.

Ultra-successful people know it takes a lot of ambition, passion and hard work to get where they are in life. They also know their mentors, colleagues, families and friends all play a huge role in their success. Instead of basking in the glory of achievement, super-successful people recognize others for the wonderful things they’ve done for them.

12. They’re appreciative.

Truly exceptional people are able to achieve so much because they know the importance of slowing down and appreciating everything they already have. They know a huge amount of their positivity, grit and motivation comes from their ability to stay grounded, and appreciate the opportunities that life has given them thus far.
These habits can make any of us more successful if we use them every day. Give them a try and see where they take you

R.I.P. Eyitemi Madamedon Image may contain: 1 person, sitting and indoor

The negligence of the Delta State Government to curb the menace of tankers drivers who park along the road has cost the people of Delta State much more than they bargained for. Today, DESOPADEC and indeed the people of Delta State has lose one of their vibrant daughter. This loss is one too many and this has to stop.  I call on the Delta State Government to the NPA Expressway especially the Niger-cat area where tanker drivers has
turned the express road to garage by looking for an alternative space for the tankers to park and for the interim let there be caution signs from Effurun roundabout to old NPA gate.
More than 5 lives in this year alone has been cut short in this road and the one that just happened yesterday was a staff of Desopadec named Temi Madamedon. https://ift.tt/2mCqFo8

FimtvLearn : Kingdom of Warri Inhabitants The menfolk are...

FimtvLearn : Kingdom of Warri

Image may contain: 3 people, people standing and outdoor
Inhabitants
The menfolk are well built, and similarly the womenfolk are well formed, impressive after the beauty of those countries. All the native - born , both men and women, are marked with three incisions, each cut an inch long, one on the forehead above the nose and one on either side of the eye on the temples, and they may wear their hair short or long, according to their inclination. The inhabitants are in many things more ingenious than the people of
Benin.
Their clothing is like that in Benin, yet they wear also a kind of beautiful fine cotton or silk garment ( as those in Benin dare not do), as large as small bed sheets, which they fasten above the navel with an ingenious knot under the arms.
Each may take as many wives as he likes to have, or as he can come by, and once in a while the King hands out widows.
Government
The King of Ouwerre, although he pays tribute to the King of Benin, governs his land with absolute power not with, and is in alliance with the King of Benin.
The King usually has three great nobles as his councillors to whom certain territories are allotted which they govern in the King’s name with general consent.
The King who reigned in the year 1644 was a Mulatto or half - caste, called Dom Antonio de Mingo by the Portuguese and other Europeans. His father1 was married to a Portuguese girl whom he took with him out of Portugal (since he had been there in person) and by whom he had his son. He always dressed as the Portuguese do, and always wore a sword at his side as other Mulattos do.
Religion
In the matter of religious observance they they are almost the same with the people in Benin, though they make fewer sacrifices of men and animals, but regard such things as atrocities, and the work of the devil,so that these people can be brought to Christianity with a little instruction. Also no ‘Feticeros’ or devil hunters are permitted in that country; people forgive one another readily there, not as in Benin. The inhabitants and the King himself lean towards the Roman religion 2.
There is a church in the city , with an altar and on it a picture of Christ on the Cross with Mary and the Apostles, and beside it two candlesticks. And the negroes enter this church with paternosters in their hands all the while, like true Portuguese people, and they read these as well as other Popish prayers. They appear to be most godly, and can also read and write and are eager for Portuguese books pens, ink, and paper.

FimtvLearn : How To Make Your Facebook Advert Interactive and...

FimtvLearn : How To Make Your Facebook Advert Interactive and Effective. Step By Step Process💥 Related image

Advertising on Facebook may not be rocket science to you, if you know what you are doing. Considering the fact that Facebook algorithm changes almost every six(6) months. Thus, you need someone who knows what they are doing on Facebook, when if cones o advertising and marketing.

Someone asked a question in this group. How much do I budget for a Facebook Ads that will run for one month? I decided to answer the question and many more Facebook Ads
Questions with all my heart.

Being a student of systems and processes. And over the years I’ve seen and used many Facebook Ads Formulas from different experts. The best strategy was the one I discovered myself, through practice. So, Facebook Ads is something you actually do, and not something you read about.
My answer to the question is purely based on my experience of spending over $3,000 on Facebook Ads with Over 250% ROI.
Let’s begin… 😉

First and foremost, don’t run your ads without first testing it, split testing and tweaking it.
What you should actually do is to test your ad with a recommended budget of $12 minimum within 3 days.
So Do This Instead… 👇👇

STEP 1. DON’T RUN A FACEBOOK AD FOR DIRECT SALES EXCEPT YOU HAVE A COMPELLING COPY (OR WRITTEN TEXT) AND A TESTED OFFER.

Think Long-term… Except you’re in the business of “eat and clean mouth”.
You will be doing lead generation. I know we want instant sales from people who that know us but that’s a rookie move. Do what the pro do…
Build Your Audience and Then Sell To Them Forever!

REAL LIFE EXAMPLE…

I and a close friend accidentally created the same course but with different titles. We started promoting it. In the first day, he got 3 sales. I got nothing.
The next day, he got 2 sales and it still got nothing. The third day, he got 3 sales again and I still got nothing.
Then, Finally… 💥💸💥💰
The fourth day, he got 2 sales and I got 14 sales. And the next day he got 3 sales and I got 9 sales - over and over again. Then he started complaining that Facebook Ads Is not Profitable.
What did I do differently? 🤔
I will tell you everything…
He was selling directly with ads, while I was focused on building my list plus providing them with valuable content for 3 days straight before trying to sell anything. I actually used Messenger Chatbot and Email to do this. Remember, know - like - trust, it works.
TRUST = SALES 😍

You’ll get enough likes that decorate your post and they will never be turned into sales.
WAIT…!
I know how to convert those 1k post likes on your ads to actually fans.
Here’s How To Do It…
1. Go to Chrome (yes, only Chrome for now) and Google - ‘Fb post inviter’.
2. You will see a chrome extension at the top of the search result. Install the extension and follow the instructions given by the developers on how to turn your post likes to page likes. It’s easy, just try it you’ll be amazed! :D

STEP 2. SPEND MORE TIME MAKING YOUR OFFER IRRESISTIBLE.
T
his Is Half Of The Job Of A Successful Campaign! 💥
If I sell you a brand new iPhone 7 for N100,000 With 1 Year Guaranteed. Will you buy it? Ohhh, I also have a physical shop you can always walk in anytime in case you think it’s fake.
What an offer! Please, if you know where I can get an offer like this, kindly inbox me :) 😋
Make your offer so irresistible that your customers will feel like they have lost something precious by not buying your product. Add bonuses that you little or nothing to premium.
Example: If you’re selling a skincare cream, write a short guide on “How To Avoid Dark Knuckles”, “How To Kill Bad Breath Before You Wake Up In The Morning”.
It doesn’t have to be something they need. But, give something extra that your competitor is currently not giving. It might even be your guarantees.
Right Now… ✋✋✋
Imagine, you go to the market to buy a new Samsung S7.
One vendor says it’s N235,000, nothing else. Yes, it’s in perfect condition.
Then you move to the other vendor, who also said it’s N235,000 but if you buy today, you’ll get a Free Power Bank and A Free Screen Protector plus you can call me if you have issues with the phone.
Which vendor will you give your money to? Do Likewise :D👊

STEP 3. YOUR COPY IS AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR OFFER.

Your copy will help you articulate your offer and if you can use the word 'FREE’ by any means, use it - because that word is magical. 🧙‍♂😇
The biggest mistake you can make with your Copy is trying to write it the day you want to run your ad, except you’re a pro.
I know most pro, they write their copy weeks before a campaign and they show it to people who have good judgment of what a good copy actually is.
In my experience, story-based copy works best on social media. 💬

EXAMPLE: When people say - My life was cool, until I was down, then I had to look for a solution, I try things that didn’t work, I later discovered a cure, I want to help you now, buy my stuff… :D
That’s the formula, but…
Don’t try to write your copy yourself if you’re not good at copywriting. Get a copywriter or start learning about copywriting - it’s the number one marketing skill in the world.

STEP 4. FOLLOW UP WITH YOUR PROSPECTS.

In case you don’t know some people have to see your ads more than once before they buy. It’s so funny how people don’t follow up with an inquiry.
Something we just expect people to buy our stuff when they see it. 🤣😂
Quick Question: When last did you buy something the first time you saw it?
So Chill, Follow Up and Profit…
A simple way is to tell them to ask you questions and answer them with pleasure.
After answering a question 3X, draft that question as part of your FAQ and send it to anyone that ask another question relating to it. Do tweak it for individual needs.

USE THIS SIMPLE QUESTION TO KNOW IF THEY WANT TO BUY NOW…
“What question do you have that will stop you from buying today?”
You’ll be amazed when someone will reply with - “Send me your account details…”🏃‍♀🏃‍♀💃💃 Because sometimes they actually don’t have any real objection.
Also, it’s a must to set up Messenger Bot on your page if you’ll even consider running ads.
Most of the campaigns I run now, most of the money comes from the follow-up with chatbots.
If you use chatfuel as your chatbot platform, you should integrate the comment to bot feature and nurture with valuable content.
If you end up getting 1k comments, whoolla! You have 1k bot subscribers already. And you can ask them the golden question and later help them with more of your products or services.
WHAT A SMART TECHNOLOGY! A Must-have For Any Business. 🤑💯

STEP 5. STUDY YOUR AUDIENCE AND TARGET THEM BASED ON FACEBOOK DATA.

I have made the same mistake of targeting an audience based on what I know them as, but on Facebook they were different.
Use that boring Audience Insight to know what your audience truly likes and follow on Facebook. 🤷‍♂
Don’t skip this. Facebook has a home advantage, follow the rules and profit.
Also, join the groups they belong to and listen to there problems and how they’ve tried to solve them in the past so that you can understand them.
If you don’t know anything about audience insight, use YouTube to learn how it works. Although, it’s easy to use.

STEP 6. IF YOU HAVE LOW ADS BUDGET USE THE FLEX TARGETING METHOD.

Let me example with an example… 🤓
If you’re targeting single ladies in Nigeria. The Flex Targeting Methodology states that you target a broad interest or demographics (people interested in marriage, wedding etc) and then narrow with a small demographics or interest (relationship status - Single).
This is just an example. If you’re targeting Nurses. Target a broad niche like nursing association, hospitals, nursing blogs or website. And narrow with job role - nurse, nursing etc.
Thick broad, then narrow. 🎖
NOTE: This is because of your limited budget, we don’t want anyone that’s not interested in your products to see your ads, although some people who don’t need it, have someone that does.
Use the Flex Method is you have a limited budget.

7. YOUR CREATIVE (IMAGE OR VIDEO) MUST HAVE A GOAL.

The greatest contributor to most ads failure is “The Creative”. Most people use a creative that their audience won’t notice. And this is very bad for business… 😒🤦‍♀
The problem with your creative has resulted from lack of proper planning.
Gather your creative days or weeks before running your ad campaign. Keep a swipe file of Ad Images that gets your attention, so that you can go back to it when it’s time to act.
Use something that has a direct correlation with their fear or success of your audience.
This is Simple! Don’t complicate it. 👌🧖‍♂
Imagine advertising a stretch mark product and using a lady that’s smiling. What? :-)
You get the point now. Although Facebook doesn’t allow those products like that like I said don’t sell directly on Facebook.
Think Longterm…

Build the audience and sell to them forever…! 💣💥💰💸
This post is getting too long. If you have questions about Facebook ads, ask them below.
Please don’t ask, how can I pay for Facebook ads? (Just Kidding 😂🤣 )

FimtvLearn : Who/What is a Social Media Influencer?

A Social Media Influencer is a user on social media who has established credibility in a specific industry. A social media influencer has access to a large audience and can persuade others by virtue of their authenticity and reach.

Influencers in social media are people who have built a reputation for their knowledge and expertise on a particular topic. They make regular posts about that topic on their preferred  social media channels and generate large followings of
enthusiastic engaged people who pay close attention to their views.
Brands love social media influencers because they can create trends and encourage their followers to buy products they promote.
Types of Influencers
The majority of influencers fit into the following categories, with the last category rapidly becoming the most important:
  1. Celebrities
  2. Industry experts and thought leaders
  3. Bloggers and content creators
  4. Micro Influencers
The bulk of social influencer marketing today occurs in social media, predominantly with micro influencers, and blogging. Industry experts and thought leaders such as journalists can also be considered influencers and hold an important position for brands. Then there are celebrities. These were the original influencers, and they still have a role to play, although their importance as influencers is waning.
Bloggers and influencers in social media (predominantly micro-bloggers) have the most authentic and active relationships with their fans. Brands are now recognizing and encouraging this.
