Separation, or divorce. Illness or financial difficulties. Problems in the home or with family members, etc.
So often we find ourselves facing problems or hurts that we don't see any way out of. They just seem too big to respond to - and you are right, for you alone, they are too big.
For God, however, big or small, it doesn't matter. He is BIGGER than any problem we will ever have. Sometimes that is hard to believe, but God is the Creator of the universe. He knows what is going to happen before it happens. There is no issue big enough to defeat God.
God doesn't look at these times of difficulty as "problem" times, as we so often do, but rather as "growth" times. He uses these times in our lives of testing and trials to mold us into the people He created us to be.
We need to change our views of these unpleasant times and instead of focusing on how much they hurt, which they do, we need to rather discover how God is going to strengthen us through them. We need to trust that God has us in the very palm of His hand and though we are pressed, we are not crushed (2 Corinthians 4:8-9).
Whatever is the situation, no matter how big it is, God is bigger. God rules and reigns in all situation. He is in control. No obstacle can stand in God's way. "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him" (Mark 11:23).
Sometimes the answer seems long in coming, but delay is not denial. God's time is not our time; His ways are not our ways. What He allows to come into our life, He will ultimately use for our good though right now we feel as if we are hounded by Egypt from the rear and hindered by the sea in front.
You can do one of two things when difficulties come: You can lament your state and blame God and face it alone, or you can cry out to Him and then move forward in faith. God is able, and God cares!
He will prevail in your situation because He is BIGGER. Trust Him, will you?
