[marriagerestoration] You Need Not Be Discouraged - Feb. 16, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

You Need Not Be Discouraged!!

Today I want to encourage those who are discouraged because of the long wait. Discouragement is a feeling of despair in the face of obstacles; or a state of distraught and loss of sense of enthusiasm, drive or courage." Are you feeling this way today? Today I am here to tell you that even while you wait, you can be encouraged because God will have the final say in your situationn.

While you wait, stay away from those who only want to offer discouragement. If you listen to the naysayers all you will want to do is give up. In this life, we experience trials, pain, sadness and grief. At times these things seem to overwhelm us. That's when we are tempted to give up, throw in the towel and conclude that our situation is hopeless.

If we look through the Bible, we see that discouragement has been in existence from Genesis and can be found in many people throughout the Bible. The Devil has learned to attack the minds of people, making them discouraged and ultimately depressed. It is his goal to entrap people and discourage them.

Discouragement can cause sleeplessness -- the mind and soul is full of worry. Restlessness -- Absent mindedness sets in and weariness results. Complacency -- Loss of interest in food, etc.
Negative Thoughts – The ultimate of this are thoughts of suicide.

1 Pet. 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

The Word of God provides comfort and reassurance that God will always be there to help us through our struggles. We can claim healing over our troubled hearts, because God's purpose for our life will be fulfilled, no matter what. God prevails at all time. He will have the final say. Rejoice, you will be victorious.

We rejoice in tribulations also, knowing that tribulations worketh patience, and patience experience, and experience hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our
hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us Romans 2:3-5.

Although we may start with a struggle, we know that we are working toward healing and restoration.

One of the goals of Marriage Restoration Ministries is to reach out to hurting people with words of encouragement. While trying to fulfill this calling, I often have a number of hurts going on in my very own life. The Lord showed me how I could help hurting people when I'm hurting myself.

God alone can bring about healing, and put the pieces back together again. We need to stop trying to explain why we are hurting. Whether it is right or wrong doesn't really change anything. All that matters is that we not give up, that we maintain our willingness to move forward in God and trust Him to work all things for our good.

1 Pet. 4:12-13 "...think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy."

I continue to pray and intercede on your behalf. Thanks for your support. 2 Cor. 9:10 ...may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness..." Blessings, you are appreciated.

Be encouraged
