Advertising on Facebook may not be rocket science to you, if you know what you are doing. Considering the fact that Facebook algorithm changes almost every six(6) months. Thus, you need someone who knows what they are doing on Facebook, when if cones o advertising and marketing.

Someone asked a question in this group. How much do I budget for a Facebook Ads that will run for one month? I decided to answer the question and many more Facebook Ads
Questions with all my heart.

Being a student of systems and processes. And over the years I’ve seen and used many Facebook Ads Formulas from different experts.The best strategy was the one I discovered myself, through practice. So, Facebook Ads is something you actually do, and not something you read about.
My answer to the question is purely based on my experience of spending over $3,000 on Facebook Ads with Over 250% ROI.

First and foremost, don’t run your ads without first testing it, split testing and tweaking it.
What you should actually do is to test your ad with a recommended budget of $12 minimum within 3 days.

STEP 1. DON’T RUN A FACEBOOK AD FOR DIRECT SALES EXCEPT YOU HAVE A COMPELLING COPY (OR WRITTEN TEXT) AND A TESTED OFFER.

You will be doing lead generation. I know we want instant sales from people who that know us but that’s a rookie move. Do what the pro do…

I and a close friend accidentally created the same course but with different titles. We started promoting it. In the first day, he got 3 sales. I got nothing.
The next day, he got 2 sales and it still got nothing. The third day, he got 3 sales again and I still got nothing.
Then, Finally… πŸ’₯πŸ’ΈπŸ’₯πŸ’°
The fourth day, he got 2 sales and I got 14 sales. And the next day he got 3 sales and I got 9 sales - over and over again. Then he started complaining that Facebook Ads Is not Profitable.

He was selling directly with ads, while I was focused on building my list plus providing them with valuable content for 3 days straight before trying to sell anything. I actually used Messenger Chatbot and Email to do this. Remember, know - like - trust, it works.

Make your offer so irresistible that your customers will feel like they have lost something precious by not buying your product. Add bonuses that you little or nothing to premium.
Example: If you’re selling a skincare cream, write a short guide on “How To Avoid Dark Knuckles”, “How To Kill Bad Breath Before You Wake Up In The Morning”.
It doesn’t have to be something they need. But, give something extra that your competitor is currently not giving. It might even be your guarantees.

STEP 3. YOUR COPY IS AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR OFFER.

Your copy will help you articulate your offer and if you can use the word 'FREE’ by any means, use it - because that word is magical. πŸ§™‍♂πŸ˜‡
The biggest mistake you can make with your Copy is trying to write it the day you want to run your ad, except you’re a pro.
I know most pro, they write their copy weeks before a campaign and they show it to people who have good judgment of what a good copy actually is.
In my experience, story-based copy works best on social media. πŸ’¬

EXAMPLE: When people say - My life was cool, until I was down, then I had to look for a solution, I try things that didn’t work, I later discovered a cure, I want to help you now, buy my stuff… :D
That’s the formula, but…
Don’t try to write your copy yourself if you’re not good at copywriting. Get a copywriter or start learning about copywriting - it’s the number one marketing skill in the world.

STEP 4. FOLLOW UP WITH YOUR PROSPECTS.

In case you don’t know some people have to see your ads more than once before they buy. It’s so funny how people don’t follow up with an inquiry.
Something we just expect people to buy our stuff when they see it. πŸ€£πŸ˜‚
Quick Question: When last did you buy something the first time you saw it?
So Chill, Follow Up and Profit…
A simple way is to tell them to ask you questions and answer them with pleasure.
After answering a question 3X, draft that question as part of your FAQ and send it to anyone that ask another question relating to it. Do tweak it for individual needs.

USE THIS SIMPLE QUESTION TO KNOW IF THEY WANT TO BUY NOW…
“What question do you have that will stop you from buying today?”
You’ll be amazed when someone will reply with - “Send me your account details…”πŸƒ‍♀πŸƒ‍♀πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ Because sometimes they actually don’t have any real objection.
Also, it’s a must to set up Messenger Bot on your page if you’ll even consider running ads.
Most of the campaigns I run now, most of the money comes from the follow-up with chatbots.
If you use chatfuel as your chatbot platform, you should integrate the comment to bot feature and nurture with valuable content.
If you end up getting 1k comments, whoolla! You have 1k bot subscribers already. And you can ask them the golden question and later help them with more of your products or services.

STEP 5. STUDY YOUR AUDIENCE AND TARGET THEM BASED ON FACEBOOK DATA.

I have made the same mistake of targeting an audience based on what I know them as, but on Facebook they were different.
Use that boring Audience Insight to know what your audience truly likes and follow on Facebook. 🀷‍♂
Don’t skip this. Facebook has a home advantage, follow the rules and profit.
Also, join the groups they belong to and listen to there problems and how they’ve tried to solve them in the past so that you can understand them.
If you don’t know anything about audience insight, use YouTube to learn how it works. Although, it’s easy to use.

STEP 6. IF YOU HAVE LOW ADS BUDGET USE THE FLEX TARGETING METHOD.

Let me example with an example… πŸ€“
If you’re targeting single ladies in Nigeria. The Flex Targeting Methodology states that you target a broad interest or demographics (people interested in marriage, wedding etc) and then narrow with a small demographics or interest (relationship status - Single).
This is just an example. If you’re targeting Nurses. Target a broad niche like nursing association, hospitals, nursing blogs or website. And narrow with job role - nurse, nursing etc.
Thick broad, then narrow. πŸŽ–
NOTE: This is because of your limited budget, we don’t want anyone that’s not interested in your products to see your ads, although some people who don’t need it, have someone that does.
Use the Flex Method is you have a limited budget.

7. YOUR CREATIVE (IMAGE OR VIDEO) MUST HAVE A GOAL.

The greatest contributor to most ads failure is “The Creative”. Most people use a creative that their audience won’t notice. And this is very bad for business… πŸ˜’πŸ€¦‍♀
The problem with your creative has resulted from lack of proper planning.
Gather your creative days or weeks before running your ad campaign. Keep a swipe file of Ad Images that gets your attention, so that you can go back to it when it’s time to act.
Use something that has a direct correlation with their fear or success of your audience.
This is Simple! Don’t complicate it. πŸ‘ŒπŸ§–‍♂
Imagine advertising a stretch mark product and using a lady that’s smiling. What? :-)
You get the point now. Although Facebook doesn’t allow those products like that like I said don’t sell directly on Facebook.
Think Longterm…
