Waiting is one of the most difficult things to do. It seems like the more we want something, the harder it is to wait - and we even get impatient with God!
If you are going through a trying time in your home, you have prayed and sought the Lord's help. He won't let you down. He is faithful and will see you through in His own timing.
When we experience difficult trials and tribulations, we normally pray to God and ask Him for immediate relief. However, as we all know, God answers prayer in His own time, so we may not always receive immediate help from Him. We may have to go through many days, or weeks, or
months or years of trying times. And after suffering awhile we start wondering why God hasn't intervened. We begin to doubt, or may even question God.
We read in (Psalm 13:1), that David Cried out to God and said, "How long, O Lord? Will you
forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?"
If you read the rest of the Psalm, you will realize that David, who was obedient to God at this time, believed that God was not with him during his time of intense trials. He felt isolated from God.
Job, who lost everything - his children, his wealth, his servants, his reputation, and his friends - experienced despair and isolation from God. Read Job 23:1-9. Also, remember this: "For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before Me, and the souls which I have made." (Isaiah 57:16).
Even when God seems very, very far away and uninterested in our affairs, He is with us step-by-step during difficult times. A wonderful illustration of His unseen presence is described in (Luke 24:13-35 esp. vs. 15).
But we have to remember that God's timing is different than our own. He sees things from a different perspective and sees the whole picture, not just what we want, but what is best for us in the grand plan for our lives.
All is part of a divine order and will be done in its own right and proper time. Of course, when we are hoping, praying and waiting for something, it's easy to forget this. After all, waiting is "remaining inactive in one place while expecting something." And being inactive means feeling powerless and at the mercy of the world - nobody likes that feeling. But we must keep in mind God's greater plan and His perfect timing:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
"Trust in Him at all times, O people." Psalm 62:8
When we suffer, we naturally want God to immediately take away our pain. But sometimes, He can be agonizingly slow in solving the problems that we bring to His attention. But even though at times God seems to be late with His assistance, I would like to say that His timing is always perfect. His timing is never off.
Know that I am standing with, and praying for all of you daily. Love and appreciation and thanks for your support.
