God - Always On Time!!
2 Peter 3:8-9 "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
So many times we can be perplexed and even discouraged when our heavenly Father doesn't answer our prayers according to our timetable. We pray for God to intervene, but He doesn't seem to. We pray for a loved one to surrender to the Lord Jesus, but the person keeps living in a rebellion. We pray for a restoration, but nothing happens.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
Are you constantly setting up a timetables or schedule for the Lord to restore your marriage? The Lord has seen the complete picture. He has seen a restored marriage. He knows when your
marriage will be restored. We cannot set up a timetable for the Lord. He will not work from our schedule. Are you telling the Lord you want your marriage restored before your birthday or
anniversary?
"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8
God expects us to show mercy to those who have wronged us, including a prodigal spouse. We need to humble ourselves by giving up our selfish desires, displaying loving mercy to our prodigals, just as the Lord has shown us. We need to forgive just as we have been forgiven.
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations
Hebrews 10:23 "Let us hold fast the confessions of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful"
