Kate Winslet marries Ned Rocknroll in secret, given away by Leonardo Dicaprio

Kate Winslet married her fiancé Ned Rocknroll earlier this month, it has been confirmed.

Congratulations on both the wedding and managing to keep it top secret.

A representative for the couple confirmed that the two wed in New York.

They said: "I can confirm that Kate Winslet married Ned Rocknroll in NY earlier this month in a

private ceremony attended by her two children and a very few friends and family.

"The couple had been engaged since the summer."

It may have been a small ceremony but this doesn't mean it was any less glamorous than your average Hollywood wedding.

Kate Winslet asked her former Titanic co-star and best mate Leonardo DiCaprio to be involved in the ceremony too, asking him to give her away.

The source continued: "Kate is very private and didn't want anyone to know. She asked if Leo would give her away because they are best friends.

"They [Kate and Ned] had been planning it for a while. They are both so happy and very much in love.”

This is the third time that Kate Winslet has been married, previously divorcing director Sam Mendes in 2010 and director Jim Threapleton in 2001.

Ned is the nephew of Virgin tycoon Sir Richard Branson and works for the space venture of the business; Virgin Galactic.

Perhaps Ned will be treating Kate to an out of this world Honeymoon?
