[marriagerestoration] Yet I Will Trust Him -Aug. 15, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

Yet I Will Trust Him!!

Job 13:15 "Though he slays me, yet will I hope in Him:"

"My marriage is not going right, yet will I trust Him" When we look at those in the Bible who walked closely with God, we found times of distress, times of not understanding exactly what God was doing, but we must learn to be like Job who could say "though He slays me, yet will I trust in Him."

In other words, there are times when life does not make sense, where things are overwhelming and we have to trust that God's plans are for good, (Jeremiah 29:11) and all things work together for good to them that are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28-29).

God's grace is always sufficient. He is enough for whatever your circumstances. Recalling God's faithfulness in your past will help to trust Him in the present. Like David, Habakkuk and many others, stir up your faith in God to remember past victories.

David was able to face and slay the giant because he remembered God's faithfulness in his past battles. Habakkuk, as he prayed about his situation, remembered God's history with the Israelite children and how He brought them triumph time and time again.

Remembering our past victories will remind us of just how BIG AND ABLE our God is, and will therefore rescue us from any doubt in our present situation. It offers strength, hope, and the faith we need to endure.

(Habakkuk 3:17-18) "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior."

If you are choosing to trust God in your situation, I must say to you today God is pleased with you. Because His Word says: Prov. 3:5 NIV "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Adversity, trials, and sufferings are God's greatest tools for growing us spiritually. However, our emotions can tell us otherwise, making it hard to trust God for a good outcome. I think the reason it may be hard to rely on God in hardships is because we forget who our God is. We are focused on what we see and feel instead of the unseen hand of God at work in our circumstances.

Habakkuk determined to rejoice in God despite visible circumstances. Even if he did not see any visible signs of God's presence or favor. I know it is right and proper to voice appreciation of God's goodness when He bestows all that is necessary for life, a good marriage, health and prosperity. But when these things are lacking, to rejoice in God for His own sake is evidence of pure faith."

Habakkuk says, "Though you have no visible hope for the future, and what you were trusting in has let you down, and you have no reserves from the past to fall back on - still rejoice in the Lord. Still be joyful in God. Still choose to trust God" Why? Because He is God your Savior who will deliver you in His time and will not let the righteous fall.

God knows what He's doing. God tells the truth about what He's doing. God invites all of us to share in what He's doing. The choice is ours to make. To trust God requires faith because we can't always see the outcome from where we stand right now. The result of such faith in God is deep and lasting joy, and the rich blessings of God that will never end.

Instead of trusting your feelings, choose to trust God. He is enough both now and always for whatever you are facing. Declare today that you will trust God, no matter what.

I want to thank those who have been supporting me in doing God's work. I am praying to my God that more will be convicted to help.
