1 Corinthians 1: 25 The foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
In the natural, it may appears foolish to be waiting for a dead marriage to be healed and restored. In the natural it appears foolish to wait for a spouse to return after being divorced against one's will.
Some may think it's real foolish to be waiting, and waiting and waiting. But God will heal and restore in His perfect timing. God will even use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.
While you are waiting for the Lord to heal your marriage, wise people will think you are foolish indeed. Who would believe that after Lazarus died and was buried, laid in the tomb for 4 days, Jesus could still resurrect him from the dead?
Yes, friends will look at you and tell you to go on with your life. They will tell you things to depress you, to discourage and frustrate you.
But, hold on, hold on my brother, hold on my sister. Don't get weary in well doing, for in due season, you will reap if you faint not. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things - and the things that are not - to nullify the things that are. So that no one may boast before Him.
Yes, even while you wait patiently upon the Lord to heal and restore. Your friends may laugh, scoff, ridicule, and even offer you alternative solutions and theories to solve your problem.
They will mock you for trying to live a "godly life" and for resisting and turning from the temptations and sin that they so enjoy, and are imprisoned by.
BUT GOD in His great wisdom takes the "foolish things" and uses them to confound the wisdom of the world! He will use the weak to shame the strong! He will frustrate the intelligence of the intelligent!
Understand, God specializes in taking messes and turning them into miracles! Yes, you may be in a mess right now, but God is able to make a miracle out of your mess. Will you trust Him today?
I say to you today my friends, trust the Lord and watch Him work on your behalf.
