Life is hard. There is no doubt about it. It seems that there is always another hurdle to jump, always another problem. Marriages are crumbling. Spouses are walking away from their marriages. Seeking to live against their vows. Big problems, little problems, lots of problems. Troubles on every side.
But then there is Jesus. He knows. He warned us, "In this world you will have trouble." But He went on to say, "I have overcome the world." And Jesus lay down His life for us, on the cross, to overcome this world so that we may have eternal life in the next. Our lives are troubled. But Jesus came like a bridge over troubled water. "I will lay me down."
Isaiah 41 "I am with you!I will never leave you. Fear not! I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you." Our God is for us, a firm foundation in a shaky world.
Jehoshaphat was afraid and the fear moved him to ask God for help. . .and he prayed "Do You not rule over all the kingdoms of every nation? In Your hand are Power and Might, so that none is able to withstand You. We have no might to stand against these great armies that are coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes and our ears are upon You.
Today, Jesus is your Bridge over troubled water. As one singer says: "When you're weary, Feeling small. When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all, like a Bridge Over Troubled Water."
So when you're weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes, HE will dry them all. HE's on your side, when times get rough and friends just can't be found...when evening falls so hard, HE will comfort you....HE'll take your part when darkness comes, and pain is all around.
Prayer: Lord, I know that You are our Bridge over troubled water and no unrighteousness dwells in You. Thank You Lord for the Holy Spirit that dwells in me, to lead me, direct me, guide me, strengthen me and teach me in Your ways.
Thank You that I am more than a conqueror, that I will flourish like a palm tree. I will flourish and prosper. Thank You for destroying the works of the enemy in my life and now Lord, I draw closer to You. I resist the lies of the devil. I will have no fear. I submit to You. I know Your Word promises me that You will lift me up and that I will be victorious. Thank you Lord, In Jesus name, Amen.
Today I am declaring that I am praying and interceding on your behalf. Will you consider it in your heart to support me today? I need your help to continue running this Ministry. Only God knows. Pray for me I ask of you. I cannot say any more at this time. Thanks in advance.
