Lord, I Believe!!
Mark 9:23, "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."
This expectation is based on what God has promised and what God has said. Therefore, believing and receiving is trusting in the omnipotence of God and the very fact that He will do what He said He would do. God is faithful and we can rely on that, no matter what the evidence is saying.
For God's word to work in our lives, we must believe that what God says in the Bible is what He will do. Faith is essential here. In fact, without faith it is impossible to please God at all (Hebrews 11:6).
At times what God instructs or promises in His word may contradict what we may be feeling or experiencing.
For example, you maybe facing some tough times in your home, etc. However God promises you in Romans 8:28 that "all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose."
You now have a choice to make. Will you have faith to believe that God can work out your problems to your advantage? Or, will you believe that your difficulties will ultimately leave you worse off?
If you choose to believe God rather than your feelings, then God will act upon His promise. Below are some further reasons why we should believe the word of God:
Matt. 21:22 "Whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive"
God's Word always produces the results that God desires. In Isaiah 55:11 God declares "My word..shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please and prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
Do you believe that no matter what you are seeing, God will grant you the desires of your heart? Do you believe? Do you believe?
My spouse has divorced me against my will, but I believe, or I am being served divorce paper, but I believe. My spouse is living in adultery, but I believe. You must believe that God can do this very thing for you.
