Microsoft, Etihad reward winners of Nokia Storyteller Competition

In line with its promise to reward winners in the Nokia Storyteller competition, organized earlier in the year, Microsoft Mobile Devices and Services formerly known as Nokia and Etihad Airways have rewarded 2 lucky winners with an all expense paid trip to the land of storytelling, London and a Lumia 930 Smartphone.

The Nokia Storyteller competition kicked off with the launch of Nokia's first 6 inch smartphones, Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 in February, which involved participants sharing inspirational stories of friendship.

Storyteller app is a unique new photography application available on Lumia Smartphone that allows people tell stories of places they’ve visited using pictures. The Storyteller App seamlessly merges two Lumia signature experiences, PureView Imaging and HERE maps, to allow users relive their photos in a new, dynamic and interactive way” he added.

Explaining the initiative behind the Nokia Storyteller competition, Communications Manager-West and Central Africa Nokia West Africa, Fred Oriunebho said, ‘Since launching the Lumia 920, Nokia has continued to redefine what is possible to do with a smartphone. Lumia 1520 Nokia is further expanding the scope of innovation, taking yet another step from capturing to reliving and editing and offering people more room to get more productive on the go with these large screen devices’
Oriunebho said further that, the competition is aimed at connecting friendship hence the theme of the storyteller was about friendship and this explains why each winner was allowed to travel with his friend on the return trip to London.

One of the winners, Ikechukwu Onuroha commended the Nokia Storyteller competition initiative and said that he was appreciative of Nokia and Etihad Airways gestures.

Nokia Lumia 1520 is designed for people who are looking for a larger screen and superior smartphone imaging experience and capabilities, complemented with a strong support for working productively while on the go.

Nokia Storyteller is made for people to re-experience their memories and past moments in a more detailed and rich way. It allows users to share their story not just online but also face –to face. It offers a new way to interact with images and tell stories with more visuals.
