Job 42:2 (NIV) "I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted"

The word "thwarted" means "to hinder, obstruct, frustrate or defeat." The synonym word of thwart is "frustrate," which means: "to cause to have no effect, bring to nothing; counteract; nullify….to frustrate plans."

In other words, to thwart implies a frustrating by blocking or acting in opposition to a person's plans. When Job said, "I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted" he stated a truth.

The wise man said, "There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord" (Prov. 21:30). Isaiah said, "Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us" (Isa. 8:10).

In contrast the plans of men can be thwarted or blocked. Isaiah also said, "For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can
turn it back?" (Isa. 14:27). The sovereign God has the power to accomplish whatever He sets His hand to accomplish.

Are you dealing with a wayward spouse? Have you complained to God about their waywardness? Be encouraged, their hearts is in God's hand. God rules.

Prov. 21:1 "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: He turneth it whithersoever He will."

Today, I am here to tell you that my God, your God is in control of your situation. No wayward spouse can come against God. Pray to God about your situation. Leave all to Him. He is in control and will do the impossible in your situation.

When God is ready to heal and restore your marriage, He will allow NOTHING to stand in His Way. A prodigal may be stubborn or stiff-necked, but their behavior will not thwart God's plan. When God is ready, no man can stand in God's way. The king's heart is in God's hand.
