[marriagerestoration] Digest :With Christ, You Can Do This

Philippians 4:13 "I Can Do All Things through Christ who gives me strength"

Have you wondered what did Paul mean? Was he saying he could do even impossible things?

Paul is saying, with Christ, he could be victorious in every situation. Paul overcame all kinds of adversity (2Corinthians 11:23-28)
imprisonments, beatings, five times whipped 39 lashes, 3 times beaten with rods, 3 times ship wrecked, spent night and day in the deep, in danger of death countless times, in hunger, thirst, cold and exposed...

I ask of you today, what is your situation? No matter what you are facing today, you can do this, with Christ, who gives you strength.
I say to you today my friends. Don't throw in the towel. Don't give up. If you stand fast and persevere, God will receive the glory. With God, you are more than a conqueror.

It's important that we look at our circumstances as Paul did: as an opportunity to show
Christ's strength in our weakness. God uses suffering to strengthen us. God's ways are not ours, and His word is clear that He strengthens us through suffering.

The God-ordained trials and tribulations of this life actually serve to strengthen us.
Isaiah 48:10 says "I have refined you, but not as silver is refined. Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering."

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything" (James 1:2-4).

James said that the trials and temptations of this life produce strength. He even called us to consider our trials and temptations as "pure joy." The facing of trials should bring us to the place where we recognize that in Christ we are more than conquerors.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: 'For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Romans 8:35-37).

No matter what your situation or circumstance, not matter where you are, no matter who deceived you, or who walked away or abandon you, Christ is your strength, and He is strengthening us though suffering, trials, discipline. Recognizing these things, we can say with Paul, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Know that I am standing with, and praying for each of you daily. If you can support me in what I do for those who are waiting upon the Lord, please consider it in your heart to do so. Thanks in advance.

Be encouraged
Pastor Doreen
