Warri South 1 APC candidate promises consultative representation

WARRI—THE All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Warri South constituency 1 in the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Robinson Ariyo, has said that he will consult regularly with his constituents with a view to making them part of development process and policy decisions if elected into the Assembly in 2015.

Ariyo said in the past 12 years, there had been no true representation of the area in the House, adding that he will “bring about change, since he knows what has been happening, which is not the best for the constituency.”

He said: “In the past 12 years, Warri South constituency 1 has had a representative in the House that could not effect any change and does not know what exactly has been happening in the constituency. As a result he is not impacting on the lives of the constituents.

“You never find a situation where the representative met with the people to rub mind with a view to knowing what their needs are.

“So you have scattered projects all over the constituency that the people do not need

and when you have such a situation, you really do not have democracy.”
He added that the people would be the centre-point of democracy when he becomes their representative in 2015.
