The Armed Standoff Between The Nigerian Police & Civil Defense

This is an embarrassment to the Nigerian people and civil system... a complete break down of law and order....!

In the above video, Nigerian Civil Defense and Police force members can be seen engaged in a power struggle, one which escalates as members of both sides draw guns. Occurring in full view of a people, the fight threatens to take a deadly detour at many points.

The release of the video is the next installment in the brewing conflict between the Civil Defense and the police, after the Civil Defense had accused a member of the police force of threatening
to shoot Commandant-General Abe Abolurin during an anti-vandalism inspection in Lagos on Friday. Both the police and the Civil Defense officials tussled for control of the site, as can be seen, with an officer intent on barring access of Civil Defense agents to the area.

The questions in the minds of Nigerians :

What could have instigated this standoff?
Why is the Nigerian Police and NSCDC not working together in combating crime?
Whose jurisdiction is it to maintain law and order in that block factory?
Is there a conflicting job description between the NSCDC and the Nigerian Police?
