[marriagerestoration] Continue to Hope - Aug. 6, 2014

Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Good morning to you. If you are waiting on the Lord for a breakthrough in your situation, continue to hope in the Lord.

You may not be seeing any sign of healing or restoration, but continue to trust the Lord because He prevails all the times.

Rom. 5:5 "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."

Today, if you are hoping in man and not God, you will be disappointed. Apart from God, it is an awful, hopeless place. But with God's help, you will make it even while you go through this
difficult time.

Whatever is your circumstances, there is hope. You may not be able to see or feel the hope, but it is there for you. How do we find the hope? There is only one place where hope can be found, and that is in Jesus Christ.

Have you lost hope in Christ to turn things around because there is no sign of restoration? Paul continue to hope in Christ even during his many trials. He said something remarkable about his adversities: 'For Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong' (2 Corinthians 12:10).

Some may be feeling hopeless because there are no signs of restoration. With God, there is always hope. No matter how dismal things appear, no matter how problem-prone we seem to be, no matter what reversals and setbacks we suffer, there is always hope.

Hope is the thing that keeps us going. We sing the hymn "We Thank Thee, O God, for a Prophet" all the time, but do we listen to the words? What do you feel when you sing "

We all have trials and difficulties. Some self inflicted others inflicted upon us. Paul knew that the temptation during difficulties is to complain and give up, so he wrote to the church in Rome to encourage them during their time of persecution.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that You are the God of hope. Thank You for the encouragement of this scripture. Help me to persevere and feed on Your Word until hope grows stronger in me, in Jesus' name, Amen.

I pray with Paul "that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the
riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints" (Ephesians 1:18). It will be worth the wait.

I pray and intercede for each of you daily. Thanks very much in advance for your support.

Be encouraged
Pastor Doreen
