[marriagerestoration] God is Faithful Digest Number 1210

At times it seemed that the more the LORD tried to love the Isralites, the more they rebelled. Finally the LORD allowed them to be carried away into captivity. But though the LORD had to chasten them, He did not abandon them. They were still His people.

Isaiah 43:1 But now, O Israel, the LORD who created you says: "Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. 2 When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. 3 For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

What a blessing it is to know that God is faithful, even when we are not. Many times we promise the LORD that we will do all He says, yet every time we fail. We are not capable of being as faithful to the LORD as we should be. Yet our security is not based upon our faithfulness. It is
based upon His.

"It is not by trying to be faithful, but in looking to the Faithful One, that we win the victory."

Sometimes we may have to pass through the deep waters and the fires, but during such times we should not lose hope. We should look to God who has promised to always be with us and to see us through. As Paul wrote to Timothy – "If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself." (2 Tim 2:13)

I want to thank those who have been assisting me in this quest for the healing of marriages. Without your prayers and financial support, there is no way I would be able to encourage and minister to many. I thank God daily for your obedience and faithfulness.

Be encouraged
