hamstring cramping

Mr. Smith I agree with Mark Powell with his "It could be that the muscles of your low back, and especially your glutes are not firing properly, or fully, causing the hamstrings to be overworked." The hamstrings are muscles that serve two purposes that are opposed to each other. One purpose is for locomotion that would want a fast twitch fiber muscle that can stretch for more powerful quick firing. The other purpose is for postural maintenance. The hamstring crosses from the hip to the lower leg or two joints. After being born your Spine is supposed to over the next 18 years develop an upright S-shape neutral spine posture. When this happens correctly your center of mass drops down through the hip bones. When this happens your hamstrings do not have to expend any work when in the upright posture and they can develop the fast twitch flexible at rest muscle you need. However to the degree you did not adapt the S-shape is the degree to which your upper trunk center of mass falls anterior to the hips and to this degree your hamstrings, while in the upright posture must be be constantly working to keep your trunk upright. This leads to a hamstring that is a slow twitch constantly firing muscle that from the literature, I have found, in this state the actin myosin fibers (hope I am saying this right) actually start to glue together and therefore become this chronically inflexible muscle that will not stretch.

In pro football for instance there is sayings like once hamstring problem always a hamstring problem. This condition is a postural problem and until the postural problem is corrected the hamstring will just remain inflexible as it is doing its job.

[entrepreneurs] Learn to invest in real estate using the Internet

Real estate is down. Everybody knows that.

So that means it's a buyer's market.

A down market can be the best time to buy but you
totally have to know what you are doing or you could
get burned.

You make your money when you buy, not when you
sell so how can you learn to buy correctly?

You learn from an expert who does it every day.

Larry Goins is one of the few real estate experts I know
and trust who knows how to invest using the Internet.

He is a member of the world-class faculty I have invited
to teach you about business and investing at our Home
Business Conference in Huntsville, Alabama on August 3-5.

But before you get there.. and you ARE planning to attend,
aren't you?... I want you to meet Larry.

So I am hosting a special webcast on Tuesday, June 5
at 9 PM Eastern Time so he can explain to you how to
invest in real estate using the Internet ...

and

so you can ask him YOUR questions.

This is opportunity. See it?

So if real estate interests you... and if you live in a house,
it should... don't miss this webcast.

Reserve your seat here:

https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/174945153

And yes, you are welcome to forward this invitation to
your friends.

I'll talk to you Tuesday night!

So many books, so little time...

Rhea!
who wants you to learn more about real estate since buying
a house is the biggest purchase you will probably ever make

P.S. Don't forget that someone is going to win great prizes in
our Summer Home Business Contest! Maybe it will be you!

[marriagerestoration] Have No Doubt!! - June 1, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

Have No Doubt!!

Deut 31:8 And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

This is just a test. You cannot have a testimony without a test. Look upon your situation as just a test. In your marriage, everything was going wonderful, until suddenly your spouse is no longer loving. Suddenly you are being pressured to consent to a divorce. You are being pressured to sign separation or divorce papers. This is just a test. This is NOT a hopeless situation.

Have no doubt today that God can do exceeding abundantly more than you can ask or ever think. Our God is a God of the impossible. He can move mountain. He is able to open the Red Sea. Think about this. Your circumstance is NOT hard for God.

So what may look hopeless in the beginning turns out to be a blessing in the end, but the devil would have you to think that God has abandoned you. The devil is always trying to discourage the Christian by causing doubt. 2Cor 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Jesus said in Matthew 28:20b "...lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Deut 1:30 The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;

Our confidence is in Christ Jesus and not man-- no matter what our circumstance and no matter where we may be in this world, the Lord is there. Whatever situation a Christian may be in-- whether in joy or tribulation-- the Lord is everywhere and is so powerful that He can hear every prayer request and supply everyone's need at the same time. We serve a great and wonderful God!

No obstacle is too great to withstand His power: "Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him" (Mark 11:23).

Begin on a regular basis to pray about the biggest obstacle you face, and command that particular personal mountain, (whether it be your marriage, your spouse, sickness, finances, etc.) to move by the power of the name of Jesus.

When you face the difficulties of life, many of them of your own making, cry out to God and then act in obedience to His word. He will make a way. If not through the obstacle, over or around it. Nothing can long block the one who walks God's way.

Eternal Father, we are absolutely convinced that You are able to perform that which You have promised us. We refuse to be distracted by the negative things we see or hear, for our hearts are fixed, trusting in You. Therefore, we say without a doubt that marriages are healed and restored. Lives will be changed and spouses will be reunited once again.

Marriage Restoration Ministry is supported by the faithful contributions of those standing in agreement with us for the healing and restoration of marriages. If you have been helped by this ministry, please consider making a contribution to support us in sending out these daily devotionals. I decree and declare healing and restoration in your marriage today. Love and appreciation.

[marriagerestoration] Believe Tha God Can Do This!! - May 31, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

Believe That God Can Do This!!

Mark 9:24 "And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief."

The father of this child asks Jesus to help his unbelief -- to give him courage to believe. I too know how it feels to need courage when fear and adversity challenge my faith.

Today, the Lord wants each of us to believe, even when there are no positive evidence. Lord, help our unbelief. In spite of what you are going through, are you believing that God can change your situation?

Are you believing that your wayward spouse's heart is in God's hand? Are you believing that God can change a heart? Are you believing God for your spouses' salvation? Do you have faith to believe for the impossible? What kind of faith is Jesus looking for in the earth?

The kind that will not take NO for an answer! The kind that grabs hold of the horns of the altar and will not relent until we receive our breakthroughs.

The kind of faith, that will continue to ask, seek and knock, until the answer comes. The kind of faith that will not give up.

Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

Matt. 17:20 "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

Matt. 13:58 "And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief."

Jesus could not do many miracles in Nazareth (Jesus' hometown) because of the unbelief of the people there. He had done miracles in other places, but not in Nazareth. And it was because of their unbelief.

God will work the impossible in your situation. He does it every day in the lives of many thousands of people who trust in Him. When our circumstances seem out of control, do we believe that, "... in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose?."

Faith is believing without any evidence. If we know that faith pleases God, why are we displeasing God by doubting, or, not believing?

In spite of all the negatives, can you believe that this is possible? Can you believe that this is doable by God?

Can you believe?

I am praying and interceding on your behalf daily. Thanks very much in advance for your support, it is needed at this time.

Be encouraged

[entrepreneurs] Announcing... our Summer Home Business Contest!

Want to win an iPad?

How about a new laptop?

Want a Kindle like all your friends have?

Here's your opportunity to earn, not win, one.

For the past few years, we have hosted this contest to
encourage busy folks to invest in themselves during the
summer by creating their own businesses.

Jocelyn Richard of Georgia created an online community,
virtual education products, and a live workshop for her friends
who were interested in worship dance.

And she won our contest that year!

When her somewhat skeptical husband saw that it worked,
he started his own online video advertising business.

So, here's your excuse to spend the summer focusing on you
getting out of the Rat Race.

Last night, we hosted a call to announce our contest. If you
missed it, you can watch the replay here:

If you have any questions, ask away. Just hit Reply.

We are dedicated to doing everything we can to help you

Thanks to all that responded it does help keep me motivated and strong. As far as the shoulder is concerned it has gotten better. I do have to still watch what I do when I bench and I make sure it is very warm before I start. That may be part of the issue in making progress, I probably do 15 to 20 repetitions at a lighter weight before I start with my program. But it helps with the stiffness and I will continue even if it cost me a few pounds on my total. The other issue I wanted to ask was about the deadlift. I have not been wearing a belt until I get to near 85% of my max. I also have to put the weight down gently because there is no place to set it down with more vigor. Even my 300 went up and down with very little noise and I didn't disturb the people doing abs 10 feet from me. So what do you people think, should I keep without wearing a belt the higher I lift and am I hurting myself by not allowing the weight to drop a little faster.

Oh Linda, thank you for your support, you asked about my other activities. They are varied, from golf to softball and disc golf plus I teach classes all week long. So yes my shoulders get a lot of use but I try to make sure I don't do too much.

Thanks again,
Tony Price

I haven't really tried to go heavy yet with the squat and the 265 went up pretty easy. The only thing missing is the bench. I have a bit of tendinitis in the shoulder and have managed to do 200 for the max. I have had a lot of fun with the program and experimented with different exercises and rep schemes. What I have learned is that I can go heavier faster, and that it doesn't seem to overwhelm me nearly as much as when I first started. Aside from the shoulder I haven't had an injury yet (knock on wood) and hopefully I can continue to gain week by week and month by month. Thanks to my guides, Kevin McKnight and Todd Craig I have kept motivated and on track throughout my trek.

[marriagerestoration] Don't Be Weary!! - May 30, 2012 - Doreen's Daily Delights

Do Not Be Weary!!

Gal. 6:9 "and let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

To be "weary" is to be worn out in strength and endurance – to be tired.

Are you waiting for God to answer your prayers and is getting weary? Does it seem like your hopes and dreams are never going to be fulfilled?

Sometimes it's hard to understand why God doesn't allow things to happen immediately. An important lesson that I am continuing to learn each day is that God works things out in His own perfect timing. Trusting in God is the key to success and happiness in life.

Commit your hopes and dreams to God. The most important point to remember is that God loves you. You are His child and He wants the best things for you.

God will work things out in your life if you trust in him. It is possible that you may have to go through certain trials and wait for h
His answers ... 'And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.' Romans 8:28 (NKJV).

God has plans for your life. He knows everything about you. He made you. He loves you, as the following selection of verses from Psalm 139 confirms ...

'O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.'

Remember, God has plans for your life and wants the best for you. He allowed His Son to die so that your sins could be forgiven. In Jeremiah 29:11 'For I know the plans I declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'

Complex Movements In Strength Training (edited)

Hi ALL

I would like to discuss the advantages of Complex Movements aka Multi-Joint Exercises;

aka Compound Exercises in Strength Training.

As a Personal Trainer I see a lot of people doing Isolated Movements in the gym,

these are Single-Joint Exercises. The most common Isolated Exercise I see being

performed a lot is the Bicep Curl - this is not the only one, however it is

very common to see guys doing Bicep Curls to try and grow larger arms.

It is far more effective to perform a Multi-Joint Exercise because the body does not

work well in muscle isolation, rather it works better in movements along a

kinetic chain; that is, large portions of the body assist other portions of the

body in completing a Complex Movement. So instead of a Bicep Curl try doing

something like a Pull-Up which works your Biceps as well as the Latissimus Dorsi, Trapezius,

Teres Major and Rhomboids, making for a far more rewarding workout. There are

many effective Multi-Joint / Complex Movements / Compound Exercises that work

lots of muscles in the body. They create more stable and stronger joints in the

long run (when done properly), and also burn massive quantities of calories

compared to the single-joint exercises.

this site to see some awesome Compound Exercises for your training.

Note: these exercises involve the large muscle groups when you exercise. The benefit of

Multi-Joint exercises is they help to create a body that is functional and will

be less prone to injury and tendonitis. When you perform these exercises you

are creating a body that is a powerful, functional unit that works together.

Best Results!

In all my years as a competitor and enthusiast I have never seen anyone re-rack the weight backward in the Squat.

Too many issues, and why not just do this in competition?

Occam's razor says fake!
